proeast: Now the question is, what made him to discard the idea of Oduduwa and accept Nigeria? So if the reality of Oduduwa republic is not visible, is it not logically wise to discard it than go to any senseless war? Now, with such general mindset, do you think the North will object to Awolowo's idea of Indignization policy? Which of you guys version do you want us to believe? That Yorubas have been the one asslicking Hausa/Fulani's ass or Hausa/Fulani's ass licking Yoruba's ass? We need the clarity before we could proceed further.. 5 Likes 1 Share |

solmusdesigns: The boy boy traders are presently buying up your ancestral lands and are returning large investment to further boost their region. Whire their brothers who decided the education route are giving you nightmares in all the national and international examination. Meanwhile back to topic. Awolowo just like Soludo during the recapitalisation time was the brain behind the indigenisation decree. Same way Ngozi Okonjo Iweala champion all the economic reforms carried out during Obasanjo and jonathan tenure . Till today you guys vilify her for her roles. Living in denial is the worst kind of cowardice. Man up abeg 14 Likes 1 Share |

Rugaria: Nigeria's disastrous fall began in 1972. The so-called fathers of Nigeria were ethnocentrists who didn't have the country at heart except whatever they could milk from it. In the real sense, it is even Igbos that actually believed in Nigeria and even still do. While Igbos are committed to it, the others are only after what they could milk from it not minding the effects on the country at large. The rot in Nigeria today is a manifestation of years and decades of economic strangulation by the North and West. 11 Likes |

proeast: A Yoruba minister during the Obasanjo regime(I think it was the dead former governor whose casket was involved in a plane crash) publicly scolded Bola ige for trying to over do it..... According to him, they were called to "come and chop"! That more or less explains everything about the mentality of the people biulding a common country with you. 9 Likes |

Rugaria: Nigerians are not even understanding what is currently going on in the country. There is clear evidence to show that this country is approaching its end unless something decisive and radically different is done. Firstly, the NE has collapsed, and the NW is following the same part, and afterwards would be NC. In the South, 90% of our top intellectuals have either ran away from Nigeria or are working towards leaving. Nigeria is now being run on Chinese loans, and there is no end to the borrowing spree. All the refineries are not working but billions of naira are being budgeted and spent on them. Power supply is still hovers around a measly 5000 megawatts for 200 million people. We are already the world's poverty capital i.e. we are at the rock bottom, yet same poverty is now growing at an alarming rate never seen before. Anyone who is not afraid about the scary future of this country is living in a fool's paradise. 11 Likes |

solmusdesigns: Thread one to 3 and no Yoruba man has been able to prove that indiginisation decree was not the brain child and evil baby of Awolowo . Nor prove that that the minister who design and formulated a policy should be the one that will sign it into law. Just the usual raising of gorilla dusts any time they are presented with facts. "I believe that the question that the benign ignorant should be asking going forward is what did Yoruba do with all these assets and corporations that they stole. How did the country fair under the Yoruba management of the Nigerian economy? How did the Yoruba managed economy relate to today’s economic malaise? Hope they can make the connections......" Great question. I have asked them similar questions in the past. 8 Likes |

proeast: Events leading up to 2023 will ultimately instigate an avalanche of events that will shake this epileptic amalgam to it's foundation.. Until the emergence of buhari, the fulani did a great job of masking their treu imperial intentions in Nigeria. But you know buhari na... He acts more like a brute with power but always cower without power. He believes quite seriously in the sarduanas goal of dominating the whole Nigeria and if you watch his politics and policies closely, you will notice he is determined on this path. He is most probably going to nominate another northerner to take over from him and maybe change osibande with an igbo lackey. A subtle but clumsy attempt at "devide and rule" politics..That won't fly anymore. .,not even with the Yorubas. The tension, the acrimony, the anger that will follow, will surely hunt down this country. . . In any event, the country is gone. They over-bloated the civil service with tens of thousands of unqualified personnels and ghost workers from their villages. Now they are spending the whole budget including borrowed funds to pay unproductive workers because they turned the whole civil service into a welfare scheme.... They won't sack the unneeded workers because they have used every improved minimum wage regime as a means to share accruing oil receipts to their ethnic henchmen brimming in different ministries. Even creating fake agencies just to share 'salaries'. No successful country emerged like this.. 11 Likes 1 Share |

They won't move this educative thread to the front page so that ignorant Nigerians will understand how they ended up in such misery they found themselves simply because it exposed how they destroyed but if it were to be a thread that puts Igbos in bad light, you will see it on front page. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Historical and ancient bitterness based on lies. The indiginenization decree is nothing to do with Awo who tendered his resignation letter in 1970 immediately after the war and left Gowon's government early in 1971. Shagari was finance minister in 1972 These folk always like playing victim In 1979 they had already produced Vice President 9 years after the war. Why always playing victim 14 Likes 1 Share |

At independence, while Zik was nationalistic, Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello on their own part were ethnocentrists who didn't believe in Nigeria. Igbos have continued to help build Nigeria on their sweat and blood yet it's these same people that don't even want this country to progress that turn around and accuse Igbos of not believing in Nigeria. Dishonest people everywhere!! 7 Likes 1 Share |
