We are not talking about owing businesses or houses we are talking about being allowed to contest for any position. To your question I lived in the East for 23years..7years was in Imo State..make we start. Take note I am a Yoruba man.

You said the Igbos are not that accommodating and that's what I responded to.

We all know that because of the low density of Yoruba population in any part of the country apart from SW, it will be very difficult, almost impossible, to garner the kind of support and votes needed.

Has anyone ever been stopped from contesting?

Has any traditional ruler come out to say the kind of despicable nonsense the Oba of Lagos said?

That Oba deserves everything that happened to him and his palace, and more.

You see how people are here saying Yoruba amaka.

If Igbos dare contest elections in Lagos state now, they'll be told to go back to their states and Oba will threaten the whole tribe's existence.

Let's keep deceiving ourselves with one Nigeria.

MODIFIED: A lot of idiots quoting me to say rubbish.

Truth will always hurt.

Nobody has ever been threatened or stopped from contesting elections in the east.

We have it historically that a Fulani man contested as a Mayor in Enugu some decades ago and won.

My point is that the Oba's actions were despicable.

Trying to deprive people of their right to vote because they want to vote PDP is also despicable.

I maintain this position regardless of any mindless attacks.
The way you allow Yoruba and Hausa to contest in your land

You just like the other people quoting me are just ignorant and lazy, and expect me to do research for you.

Go and do some research on what you talked about and come back.

Even when truth steer you guys in the face, even amongst yourselves, you still deny it.

You ve been doing this since the day world went out. 2023 is by the corner and PDP is looking towards the north, that should be your primary concern now.

The Yo.ru.ba's don't really do it, check the whole of the front page only that guy said anything close to bragging and I'm not sure he meant it coz it wasn't serious.

But you see the Ig.bo's? The whole front page to second page would be full with comments about how they're the most intelligent tribe in the whole black race, how they're always the best wherever they go, etc etc.. They don't just say it, they rub it on the faces of others by taunting them like anyone is in competition Whereas there are tons of Nigerians from other tribes doing well in the diaspora yet these people don't make noise. They don't even open threads to celebrate their feats let alone clamour for FP like the Ig.bo's do.

See an Ig.bo guy trying to downplay this on Fp by saying the westerners won't allow others contest elections in their backyard and also referring to the Oba's statement when infact the Oba was generally condemned for his reckless and insensitive statement, and there are Ig.bo's holding both elective and appointed positions both in the SW and Core North which can't be compared to what is obtainable in the SE.

P.S - I'm not Yo.ru.ba, I'm from the SS. But from very close observations both here on NL and on ground, the average South East.erner is very tribalistic. Even amognst themselves there's no love. And they love to always play the victim/tribal card.
One question for you. can u define tribalism? how can a ppl be tribalistic and at the same time hate themselves?

See now how senseless u sound ?

They want to spoil America, They want to take their Backstabbing behavior to USA. TUEEEH.

They should Jail all of them after the Election.
Or send them back to their various Villages in Nigeria,
You can't leave your own land and be trying to rule other people land, Because your forefather's were taken their to SLAVE,

Thank you very much this is one of the problems with my country the problem we are facing in Nigeria Is Massive illiteracy people vote for people which can do nothing not for merit if you look at all of these Nigerians what have they done for Nigerians in America 0 . Everytime I see Nigerians contested in the UK and I laugh to myself what have these people done for Nigerians in the UK is 0 Nigerians in the UK have one of the highest murder rate and crime rate especially in East London. You cannot just start for people which do not think. This is why most Nigerians all over the world are suffering they just want to vote for themselves and suffer

You have to understand somebody which has professor degree can be a stack illiterate. What have they done for their Nigerian people what have they done for their Nigerian community. You go to South Africa India China Malaysia UK and a lot of other countries included here in Brazil you just fight Nigerians killing themselves because of one idiot which they want to vote for is that the type of education which you want. If he did the same thing in Nigeria where people vote for people with no merit. One example look at okonjo-iweala uplifting Nigerian economy she actually did 0 now she wants job at the wto when she gets there she will do nothing for Nigerians this is the type of illiteracy I am talking about. In Britain Nigerians are one of the most heaviest black people in politics but they have the highest number of people in jail they have the highest number of people which are unemployed they have the highest crime rate in where they live in East London what is the use of voting for yourselves when the people who to vote for can do nothing for you. Is it this is what our Kelly was talking about
