I'm not a guy and I'm not a parent yet but this what I think..build solid relationships with your children. Don't think that paying their school fees and giving them a roof over their heads is all that is required of you by your kids..become their friend and confidant..be that person they can come to when they have problems..be there for them when they need you. When you have this kind of relationship with your kids, everything becomes easier..they won't have to lie to you about something, you can trust them and they can trust you back..when they start approaching their teens, parenting will get tougher but that already existing relationship will make it easier for them and for you.
