Hello gurus in the house kindly assist me with this. I got admission to a us school and I am expected to resume in August 19th. I applied for an Emergency appointment as a near date was not forthcoming now. My EA was denied. I want to ask is it possible to apply for another EA date within the 60days of resuming?

I told God not because I deserve it that you sent Jesus to die for me now too not because I deserve this visa but let your grace speak for me
I fasted and prayed with some scriptures and i personalised them
Please wear something decent and nice don't say your dad/uncle has how many millions but you're dressed like a pauper.
I had my nails done but short just to boost my confidence (I like my nails done anyways) you can do what works for you
And again I say pray
God will bless boss moshkom for me ooo he's my Godsent
Thanks to all the people i met on this journey and your words of encouragement it meant a lot to me
I wish everyone sucess in Jesus name Amen.

Ps: if you have a case that is beyond you please meet boss moshkom for help i know it sounds selfish since he's a very busy person but if you have to be selfish to get approved so be it. Just like Mary said to the disciples whatever boss moshkom ask you to do please do it.

In DS 160, under the where to stay in the US, which address is appropriate? The address on the I-20 or one of school's accomodation address?
you can fill in either of the two addresses

Cancellation is once and doing it the second time you forfeit the visa fee.

Hello house, I was introduced by a friend to Nairaland as this is my first time applying for a F1 visa application.

I just paid my visa fee and the available dates I can see here are January 2023 in Lagos.
Please what do I do as my school is to resume by August / September. Please I need help

Good evening all, I'm new here and I need your help on a concern of mine. I got my i-20 and I am waiting on my SEVIS fee payment to reflect. I have two kids (5 years old daughter and 10 months old son), but I and my partner aren't married due to the fact that she's from a separated family and both parents family uniting for the marriage is causing delay. I'll like to know what marital status should I fill in my ds160 and also, is there a space to fill in my children's details though I'll be traveling alone. Thanks for your anticipated response

Lagos
Bachelor degree
Coa: $23,699
No funding: (haven’t been decided yet till May ending according to DSO of the school)
school: EIU
Vo : do your thumbprint
Vo : you are going for your bachelor degree right
Me : yes bachelor degree in political science
Vo : why this school
Me : I chose this school because it’s cheap and very affordable for my sponsor and she cut in
Vo : 49$ is not cheap!
Me: No ma my COA is just $23k+ ( but due to the SOA I send to get my i20 after they calculated the money with there rate is was equivalent to $49k so they input it like that so the family fund was $49k as indicated on my I20 I think that is why she said it’s not cheap) she check and quickly confirm and nodded.
Vo : who is spending a lot on you
Me : my brother he has been supporting me since when I want for my diploma course and he is ready and welling to support me
Vo : what does he do.
Me : he is a politician (I mute for a while immediately I wanted to say he Former deputy she cut in and ask
Vo : what will you do with the course
Me : I will come come to Nigeria to continue work at my place of work but in higher position. I can be transferred to state secretariat or federal and I will start my political ambition by joining political party.
Vo : type and type and type like 5min self and eventually she said you aren’t qualified for this and brought out the blue pepper.

Please guys at @moshkom and at every other gurus in this house just advise me pls and I will appreciate this is my 3 attempt and I am 25. Should I try again or I should just go back and complete my hnd and apply for masters or I should try once again ?
Secondly my sevis fee will expire on July eventually if I apply and get date lets say by August (aug 22 is my program start date ) hope I will still be able to use the sevis fee or I will have to pay for another sevis fee again.

Oh! Sorry for the denial bro.

I won’t lie, You failed in preparation. I doubt you did proper mock(s) before the interview.

You really have to act up towards your next application.

Maybe;

- Change school to one with low Cost of Attendance.
Check out TRUMAN STATE UNI, they automatically gives 10k to international students and their COA is ‘just’ 28k. Minus the 10k, your sponsor would now have ‘just’ 18k to cover has deficit

- Do proper prep talks, mock and know-how before you next visa interview, with someone that is more knowledgeable in this field.

- Your Parent should be your best sponsor in the Undergraduate path. If they can’t in this ‘primary level’ of yours, then try to convince the VO why your uncle is taking their position.

PS: In MOSHKOM’s words “Dem no dey rush go embassy oh”.
Because this one you are already calculating your SEVIS payment expiring date against your next possible interview date ehn, calm down oh.

- Don’t forget NOT to apply to COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
- Don’t forget to apply at the right age range.

Good luck Young Champ!!!

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask if I can edit my DS-160 after submitting already. I feel my DS-160 is kind of scanty and I need to put additional details. I already have an interview date for Abuja next month and hope this won't be affected in anyway.

Thanks.
Moshkom and all the gurus in the house please help me out.

Yeah, you can!

Try to follow the below steps:

Go to DS160 website. Fill in your details (location and Confirmation number) Simply select “Retrieve An Application”, then “create a new application”.

You’d be able to access the old DS160. Just that this time, you’d get a new “Confirmation Number”. Make the necessary adjustments and submit when you’re sure you’re done. Then proceed to the CGIfederal website, login and navigate to

“Update Profile”

Erase your old confirmation number and replace it with the new one

Sad thing is that I can’t personally mock all guys in my PM.

But, I am Trying to come up with a Zoom/Mock/GoogleMeet session this weekend, by getting to reach to all my ‘people’ that got approval this week to help come HOST and MODERATE ‘us’ on the session on how the WHITE PAPER became theirs. Let’s hear from the horse mouth.

it is better to state you are single because you don't have any evidence to show that you are married. When you click on married, there's a space for you to give information about your spouse. Didn't see that for the kids when I filled mine.

Good morning everyone,

I need certain clarification on Emergency Appointments. I applied for EA, I got a message that it was approved and i should click "Reschedule" to pick a new date, on clicking reschedule, I found that the available dates are for 2024, far beyond my current appointment date. So I need to understand if these dates also change like the regular appointment available dates or they will remain static at 2024, in which case I can make use of it.

I will appreciate any advice or direction in this regard. Thank you.

Sorry what embassy is this please

As part of my series on making applications to the US easy for students, in this video, I detailed a list of 50 schools in the US that you can study in without the SAT/ACT exam. Many people assume that to get admission in the US, you need to take standardized exams, but in reality, a lot of schools do not require exams for the admission process.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4I-IJaFrkM

Conversely I will tell you that Consular Officers look at students that avoid exams very skeptically. They tend to not be found to be bona fide students.

You are are 25 going for a bachelor's degree. Strike one.
You got into an argument with the Consular Officer about whether it was inexpensive or not. Strike two.
Your brother who is in politics is funding you, so where is his money coming from? The assumption is corruption. Strike three.

Good day House. Please I am about to fill my DS160. I have 2 kids they were delivered in US. Now for the question who is accompanying you should I add only my spouse or my spouse and 2 kids. My spouse will be applying for F2.
I am afraid if I add all 3 the VO will check my funds as not enough as I just have the exact amount quoted by the school for one year. I am self funding. The school does not have funding at this time . Please can the gurus advice if I should add all family members as accompanying me.

2. Will the VO be asking the F2 applicants any questions. What are some questions expected

3. I intend to tell the VO that my spouse and kids will not be going with me but will be coming to visit, will the VO not wonder so why applying for F2 for spouse. We actually want to apply for both now F1&F2 so he doesn't have issues with Visa Whenever he is coming.

Please house I need your advice.
