Another reason which Yoruba Muslims won't collaborate in fighting fulani is by adhering to what Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said:

"Stop, O people, that I may give you ten rules for your guidance in the battlefield. Do not commit treachery or deviate from the right path. You must not mutilate dead bodies. Neither kill a child, nor a woman. nor an aged man. Bring no harm to the trees, nor burn them with fire, especially those which are fruitful. Slay not ary of the enemy's flock. save for your food. Reasonable people have to be very careful with how bigots cause chaos in the name of tribe or religion and it is obvious the recent attack on Fulani is based on ethno-religious attributes. Criminals have to be treated as criminals while innocent people have the right to exercise their rights but the attackers only want evict and attack all Fulani including the innocent armless ones.
