At 16weeks u shld b expecting 5% eggs,at 10weeks max,ur layers shld hv gone into their cages n get used to it....by d tym they are laying there wld be to interruptions. Pls cage them nw nw

HELLO guys,

Please I have 700 pullets at 21weeks that are yet to lay, I gave them all the required vaccination and currently use Hybrid Feeds. Again the farm is at GRA Ilorin. It has eaten deep into my pocket and has fallen short of my expectation. I bought them at "DOC" from Agrited at Ibadan on January 5th 2017. I'm confused as to what to do right now. Please advice.
saw the pic....brown? Wow. Sorry man,wit d experience I'm getting wit my layers I'm sticking to just black layers. Brown delay alot,n will start up slow skipping days of laying, well I am still hoping n waiting to see improvement on my own, while d blacks have been laying for over 2mnths nw,d over 40browns are jst giving me roughly 10eggs. I sold 10browns n currently wanting to sell all them browns away

EMMAACHILE:

I advise you take other drugs like embazin forte and use the right dosage (3ml/5 liters) for three days.

High or low dosage could make your chicks resistant to the diclosol.
The recommended dosage and Administration is below and its given continuous for 2 days

Add 1 ml DICLOSOL liquid / 4 liters of drinking water (2.5ppm) for 48 hrs.
I was having cocci problems till a great farmer told me,its better to over dose that under dose ur birds. Sometyms u jst to top a required dose written on d reflect of the medcine
In severe cases :
Add 1 ml DICLOSOL liquid / 2 liters of drinking water (5ppm) for 48 hrs.
a big farmer tot me it's more dangerous to under does ur birds than over dosing them...so some tyms I up d dosage written on d medcine, thats when I stopped having problems with drugs not working

I agree. Admacine or Gumbocine + Polidine for 5 days should do the trick. After which he'd have to administer La Sota to the whole flock.

Over 120hens and I get jst 45/50eggs a day....I feed them wit top feed. I'm thinking for trying this combo medcine on them o

Yessir. Lethargy has set in alongside green poo. Those are pointers. The Fowlpox is something else all together which can be treated after they must have improved.

Hello house, please how do I manage my litter? I generate about 50kg of wet litter daily and I'm tired of digging pits that fill up quickly, flushing down septic tanks that cost more to evacuate or renting trucks to remove from farm.
I need a solution like yesterday.
you don't sell Manure ??

*Yes sir, CHI have begun selling their male line but not line but it's a momentary thing

*Hatchery to buy from? There are a number of hatcheries i can recommend which are guaranteed to give you good results. This is solely dependent on why their feed as well as their management which you earlier mentioned. As long as he feeding and management is good, they'll do just fine.

*3kg in 6-7weeks? I'm not quite certain if this is achievable if you're going to be feeding your birds with commercial feeds but it's certainly achievable if you'd be making use of concentrates.
pls what do mean when u say "male line" ?? Secondly what are concentrates? What abt crumbles?

18 to 24 weeks old. it can vary depending on a lot of factors. it could be 19weeks,or 20, up to 24 which is the standard based on statistics from research findings and farners' experiences.

there are buyers for droppings , where is your farm?

I experienced a month long drop in production of eggs. From 58 crates per day to as low as 39 crates. My birds are AMO, and even after lasota production drop further to 33 crates. Someone advised I use keproceryl, it seems to do the magic, I got 38, 39, 40, 42, 45, 48, 47 and today 48 again. My point is I want to return production to 58 crates, please advice me. Should I repeat keproceryl treatment, and if yes, what dosage? Should I repeat deworm, keproceryl and then Lasota? Please help.

They started laying one week ago, apparently layers don't lay according to age but according to weight and by extension Agrited LOHMANN pullets needs to get to 1.7kg at most before they start pushing eggs unlike ISA BROWN'S that weigh 1.5kg at the onset of lay but that's ofcourse under proper feeding. I've come to a conclusion that should your birds attain this weight earlier than 18th week of age, production will kick in, that's why people advice to feed ad libitum .

Spot on! This is why I'd rather ISA browns to Agrited Lohman brown. That 0.2kg additional weight costs money if you have a large stock.

Hello my good people. Pls I need a help. Gumboro attacked my broilers at 5weeks of age. Though I have sold that batch about two weeks ago. I treated my farm with formalin and amonia mix together on wednesday last week and I just stock birds on friday. Pls is there any preventive measures I can use together with the routine vaccine to avoid having such experience again. I learnt once gumboro attack a farm it takes time before one can eradicate it in the farm.
Pls help me, am worried.
Thanks sooo much.
