Rubbish
How can you claim you want to hold a protest and still observe all the covid 19 protocols ?
Are they saying there will not be more than 50 protesters ? Who will take the headcount count ?
Abeg this protest is uncalled for ?
When the last one went out of hand, what did the organizers of the "peaceful" do to curb the situation? If they failed to curb it the last time, how do they plan to succeed this time around?
That said, I think the government just played into the hands of these protesters with their hasty decision to reopen the Lekki toll gate when the so called panel was still sitting

According to the constitution, they have a right to protest... So they’ve not Broken any law.

Your point, suggestion and advised are invalid. How can the government so cooperative oppressing the masses and we the masses are not cooperating. We dont pray for anyoneto experience molestationor killed by the nigerian oppressive security serving the government only. If you lost any of your loved one in last protest, I believe you wont say this. Let fight once and for all. He who fight and run away fight another day but he who fight and win is a champion.
dalongjnr:
Any one that comes out to protest should be arrested and persecuted. Were their rights starts and stopped that's where other's begin .
The panel have passed their verdict to reopen the gate and if they feels disappointed, they should seek redress in a court of competent jurisdiction. The protesters doesn't even know that the law is a double edge sword. The protesters need a legal advisers.

We need to boycott this to gate if really Lagos state government still want its operation. That same government will still construct alternative passage for the users.
Nigeria government are useless, heartless, rogue...all they want for us is to die in sillence. enough of bad government in Nigeria.

That's why they are the most successful tribe in the whole Nigeria world

And it's democratic to shoot unarmed citizens? If you live on the island, you'd see how life and movement has been easy without the toll in operation. The Onyigbo BRT bus terminal was destroyed that same day, why didn't the Panel rule for it to be rebuilt? The Orile police station was burnt that same day but no attempts to put it together. The list goes on but priority is where Jagaban gets part of his money from. For those lives allegedly lost, what has been done for their families? I don't care about our stupid leaders actions... I care about WE finding ways to justify these actions because it suits us. PMB led a protest in Abuja against the Jonathan led regime, he wasn't arrested. Bandits, killer herders and boko haram are being negotiated with, pardoned and sent to school. Unarmed citizens are being brutalized because we asked for a Sane government.

Nfora:

On the grounds of democracy and the rule of law,any protest against the 5-4 votes of the judicial panel is a call to anarchy.

Can you imagine if every loser in LG,state or presidential election embark on protest against the popular verdict, all in the name of right to protest?

Protest is only appropriate for undemocratic decisions. The only way to upturn democratic votes or decisions is through the court of law.

Protest require common sense.

They protest regarding both. And I don't think it's too much of a ask
it's not too much or small.
But like the other time, this is where the problem comes in, soon the whole thing will degenerate to everyone pressing home their own demands.
Last time it happened, police didn't confront anyone, we saw the level of damage on public and private individuals and the economy in general.
We cannot guarantee how this one may be hijacked like the other one, I think the protest should be thought of again.
