The terrorist didn't know how the attack will unfold, cause if they do they won't be out in the open being open to air attack...

Absolutely brilliant summation sir. These good terrorists attained the status of being "good", after being lit up by helicopter gunships that probably made repeated strafing runs. Boy I would have loved to see any footage recorded by the gun camera during this ordnance delivery party.
