No one should fault decision by our farmers and transporters who decide not to move food to the south. This is the most civilized response to sundry provocations.

Certainly better than retaliations against innocent people.Northerners feel the pinch too, but it is worth it.

Respect the Arewa!!

All you have done in the past one year is to burn down the Northern markets in the Southeast, slaughter the Cows and their herders, burn down Mosques and every Quran in it, chase the North away and take over their Properties.

You killed Northerners in Abia, did we retaliate? NO

You killed Northerners in Imo, Did we return the favour? NO

You attacked Northerners in Enugu, did we come back for return match? NO

You attacked the Notherners in Ondo, did twe attack your people living in the North? NO

You killed and slaughtered many Notherners in Oyo, did we retaliate? NO.

So why are you wailing and kicking because we have now reduced the velocity of our food supplies to the South?

We are NOrTh poor, but poorly managed.

Arewa shall rise again!!
you all better be more sensible as not to affect the innocent peaceful people of Niger delta with your south west and south east dispute. I commend the northerners for not retaliating the unwarranted attacks on them but you guys should at least know that the govt failure to address the foreign terrorists causing mayhem is what led to unjust attacks on Nigerians of northern extraction and unfortunately the northerners are more victimised in the banditry attacks only for them to be attacked again by their fellow country men down south. The attack on northerners especially traders is a foolish move. The tomatoes and beef sellers have been here with us for business I can't relate how their businesses here connect to arm wielding terrorists killing innocent Nigerians in the bushes. Ya'll should not further escalate things, we are all Nigerians with constitutional rights protecting our stay anywhere in Nigeria but not forcefully claiming land ownership with indegenes of any host state. Niger delta did nothing wrong to you guys and we're still mourning our dead fulani terrorist herdsmen killed. Leave Niger delta out of your rift with SW and SE, we want meat and foodstuffs from our northern farmers.

You talk too much boy........ Calm down and ask your farmers "how far?". Moreover, you spit out lies a lot...it must be your oxygen.

We will not send food down south until necessary actions are taken against the killing of innocent northern Muslims traders in the south!!

Our people must be given that 460billon naira!!

Or else Hunger go do una shege!!

Make una drink that fuel way una dey claim say una get!

Even a Yoruba man is beating his chest over oil that he doesn't have!!

Let's assume you all have oil in your state!!

Oya block the oil from coming to the north!

Una go soon dey buy one single onions for #500 which is equivalent to 4littres of fuel!

We go know between oil and food which one is more important to human existence!

Meanwhile they're already feeling the heat!!

What actions has been taken against the killings of innocent southerners in their farms, the ones that were raped and killed by your brothers, and those arrested for speaking out innocently?

Mumu! Forgetting that Nigeria economy does not run on agriculture but on oil. If the oil is shut down, the impact it will have on Northerners will be worst than Hiroshima bombing. It's a wake up call for southerners especially the governors to invest in agriculture.

Na your mouth I take dey hear all this killing of the northerners.

What about all the killings of Christians by the northerners?

What about all the bombings of churches by the north?

Stop thinking like a child.

What if other regions of Nigerians decided to block all the neccesary means from going to the north, what will your people do? Start a war?

What if the South south decided to stop /petrol from going to the north, what will your people do about it?

I guess you haven't travel much. Come to the south south, you will see a lot of northerners who are living in peace and enjoying their life.

I pitty the Yoruba's who always help to vote you people in. The Yorubas have learned their lessons

this will be the greatest mistake of the north ever.. which they will live to regret.. they forget their brothers down south depends on this items to trade and fend for themselves. when we finally stop buying the cows the grains and the rest of their produce, abubakar the soya seller, tukur the onion seller, abi na Ibrahim the onion seller. will have no choice than to go back to his state. after all all this product without palm oil, how can you consume most of them.

Sir, if the above mentioned reasons are behind the current problem, then I put to you the north is more guilt than their whole of Southeast, south west and southwest combined by a ratio of at least 15 to 1. Check your history of Nigerian crisis, especially that of ethic crisis Pre and post independence.
The North are just after the money you mentioned.
If you say the south should hold their oil. Then I pity you because you know not what you are saying. Just a few days hold of oil and the North would be on her kneels.
Well, As for food production, the north have economic comparative advantage but can't hold the south to ransom for that. Read the history of palm oil production in Malaysia and other Asian countries and you will be amazed.

From the above, sir, you argument is null and void thus can't hold any grain of water.

Traders in Kano lament as onion bag sold in the South for N35k crashes to N7k in the North (video)
LindaikejisblogMar 2, 2021Read original

Farmers and traders in Kano are lamenting as farm produce, which can't be sent to the South due to the ongoing strike by sellers of cows and food stuff, are now being sold in the North at ridiculously low prices.

In video shared by Daily Trust, the farmers and marketers at the Gun-Dutse onion market, Dawakin Kudu Local government Area of Kano State, are seen lamenting the effect of the ongoing strike by the sellers of cows and foodstuff.

Recall that trucks bringing food stuff to the Southern part of Nigeria were turned back at Kara Jebba, the last village between Niger state and Kwara state, to prevent them from bringing food to the South (read here ).

This strike is connected to an ultimatum given by the national leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) to the Federal Government which demanded compensation for the losses suffered by Northern traders in the recent mayhem at Shasha market in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The strike led to an increase in price of food commodities in the south but in the north, the prices are plummeting.

According to Daily Trust, farmers said before the protest, they usually transport a minimum of 20 trucks to the southern part of the country on a daily basis but the strike has affected them badly.

The largest bag of onion, which sold at N35,000 few weeks ago and as high as N70,000 during the onion scarcity last year, is now being sold for N7,000.

Below is a video taken at the market.

The problem the Southerner don't understand no matter how they stood firm to go back to agriculture there land cannot grow such food.I you tink you can then the floor is open. My dear colleagues u all fail to see how most of the northerners r being molested in ur region. What do u tink will happen if we turn out to do the same in our region too. But Islam never teaches us bad. If u r ill treated return it with good. We have over 55% of Igbo n Yoruba people in d north who have come to stay for businesses n many more but we r peace and loving people we have never for once done harm or retaliated on what is happen to us in d south. N let me mention this. Nigeria will never b better until wen we the youth of Igbo,Yoruba,Hausa n many more say no to the molesting of any region either by religion, tribe, friends or peer group then the top leaders will stop hoarding our wealth n fleeing it to another countries enriching their self and their family.
How many of us r jobless many especially graduate but what has d government of the past n the present done to the graduate non.
My broders we need to wake up n keep this ethnic sentiment which our forefathers fighted to end n. Now we r one.tink of our. Younger generation
