PrimadonnaO:As regards the issue of adoption, there are several agencies that deals with the issue of adoption in Nigeria, adoption is nt something hard in nigeria, all you just need to do is to get an attorney that will get all the paperwork done for you.if you are in the US it is very hard to adopt because you need to be home study approve. officialmario: This is novel, because I've only ever heard that adoption in Nigeria is very cumbersome. That it literally takes years sometimes to finalise the process. |

Nigerians are used to adoption especially men.Its only a woman dt can say who d father of her kids are. A lot of women will want kids dt are fair in complexion when d husband is dark,or tall etc when d husband is deficient of these qualities. Others due to insatiable lust will keep bringing home pregnancies dt are not urs and u have no option provided u often have sex with her. So,many families are saturated with adopted kids . If u doubt me,check dna of all ur kids and u will die of heart attack. 1 Like |

Freestainworld: Personally, if it wasn't for the fact that young girls are being made to get pregnant for the sole purpose of selling their babies, I'd have almost said it's expedient. But then again, it would never feel right to sell a human being, baby or not. |

PrimadonnaO: Who told you adoption in nigeria is cumbersome? that is a big lie! Adoption does'nt take years to process. I have seen over three couples that adopt babies without even passing much stress, it can only take time to process in other european countries, you can even proceed orphanage home to adopt, all you just need to do is to sign official paper that you will take care of the child in your custody. The problem adoption is facing in nigeria is the issue of ritual, child labour and trafficking. 2 Likes |

PrimadonnaO: On the contrary, it is very popular, it is just not documented through the ministry and legal framework. There are lots of people who have adopted other people's kids in nigeria, and raise them like their own. Unlike the whites who make sure they complete the paperwork, nigerians sometimes dont bother. 1 Like |

Tablechair: I have 2 kids and might adopt when Bae and I are older and the boys are off to start their own lives. Not for our sakes, because we have kids, but for the sake of some orphan out there who deserves a good life. Childless couples need to develop the mindset that adoption is very much an act of kindness to a poor orphaned baby in dire need of a home. Besides economic pressures, we Nigerians probably don't adopt because we are not very kind people. |
