Your father reminds me of the days Nigeria was Nigeria. You see men like that in every corner, every community. Maths is needed for everything in life. If you teach your child "times table" early in life, they will succeed anywhere. |

You simply refused to cram your times table from 2 to 12. Especially children outside Nigeria. Another reason is prejudice. Yes, prejudice. There are many out there that just develop dislike for maths without even trying. You cannot do anything without maths in the university at the graduate level because you need statistics. Otherwise, you have to rely on others' research or use the graduate students you supervise. This is what many professors do with computer science. Ilamina: |
