enilove: If Israelites could kill for religion, why are some people blaming Boko haram and other terrorists for doing same. Christians started terrorism in the world all in the name of crusade.. Hitler may be cruel but he has his reasons for revenging on jews... That's karma |

helinues:The land that was promised to Abraham and His descendants is in fact the land of Canaan.. Canaan (/ˈkeɪnən/; Northwest Semitic: knaʿn; Phoenician: – Kenāʿan; Hebrew: כְּנַעַן – Kənáʿan, in pausa כְּנָעַן – Kənā́ʿan; Biblical Greek: Χανααν – Khanaan;[1] Arabic: كَنْعَانُ – Kan‘ān) was a Semitic-speaking civilization and region in the Ancient Near East during the late 2nd millennium BC. The name "Canaan" appears throughout the Bible, where it corresponds to the Levant, in particular to the areas of the Southern Levant that provide the main setting of the narrative of the Bible: Phoenicia, Philistia, and the Land of Israel, among others. The Southern Levant is a geographical region encompassing the southern half of the Levant. It corresponds approximately to modern-day Israel, Palestine, and Jordan; some definitions also include southern Lebanon, southern Syria and/or the Sinai Peninsula. As a strictly geographical description, it is sometimes used by archaeologists and historians to avoid the religious and political connotations of other names for the area. |

helinues: Show me where Israel killed for religion ? The crusade was to defend the Christian territories from Islamic invasions . This is the problem when people like you with little or no knowledge of something has access to the Internet . What will happen is spreading of wrong information around. Just go and do more research b4 continuing with this thread , it is misleading . 2 Likes |

enilove: Which one came first? Crusade or Jihad? Who first prosecuted who between Christian and Muslim? You already confirmed that Israelites conquered the land which means they fought and grabbed it cos they were not the rightful owner of the land. That's what I have been saying about religion, Those who write bible and quran only write the story that suits their narration. All the war story in the bible was tagged crusade without giving clear explanation of what led to the war... Quran labelled their own war Jihad, the suitable story they wrote then is what some terrorists are still following today. 1 Like |

helinues: When was nation of Palestine established? Palestine was never a nation. It is just a region being occupied by many nations. Israel formed their kingdom after expelling them as God commanded them. Original Palestinians were not even arabs. Ismael became a father to arab nations while isaac-Jacob became father to Israel. God promised both sons of Abraham inheritance-Arab peninsula and Palestine for Arab and Israeli respectively. Those arabs in Palestine used opportunity of dispersion of Jews in 70ce after destruction of Jerusalem to occupy Jerusalem. 1 Like |

joyandfaith: Palestinians today is the old Philistine in the bible. God promised both sons of Abraham inheritance-Arab peninsula and Palestine for Arab and Israeli respectively. Let's be logical about this... God promised them already occupied land? How? Those arabs in Palestine used opportunity of dispersion of Jews in 70ce after destruction of Jerusalem to occupy Jerusalem No Israelites started the destruction all in the name of crusade... They occupied so many lands and forced people to believe their beliefs.. |

helinues: The Philistines were an ancient people who lived on the south coast of Canaan from the 12th century BC until 604 BC, when their polity, after having already been subjugated for centuries by Assyria, was finally destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylonia. After becoming part of his empire and its successor, the Persian Empire, they lost their distinct ethnic identity and disappeared from the historical and archaeological record by the late 5th century BC.At that time nation of Israel was already an established kingdom. Arabs who are occupying Palestine today are not philistines. Arabs saw lands when jews were dispersed after invasion by Rome and occupied them. Jews returned in 1948 and chase illegal occupants away. 1 Like |

joyandfaith: This is copy and paste not that you have neutral version of the story.. Yet you confirmed the philistines were ancient people who lived at the south coast of Canaan. Even bible confirmed that they live around 5 cities namely : Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Ekron and Gath. Same Gaza that's causing the conflict...How does Gaza belongs to Israel? |

helinues: The wars in the Bible are not related to the crusade . The crusade was stage by the Europeans and not Israelites . It began more than 3000 years after the wars of Israel happened . How then are they related ? The Israelites possessed the land of Canaan about 3000 years b4 the crusade . Pls , go and read more about the crusade 1 Like |

enilove: Your reference to the events has been based only on Bible, which was written to suit the writers narration. There was nothing like European countries when the first crusade by christians started. You have already admitted that the Israelites conquered the Canaan land which is today present Israel... Conquered is totally different from defended... The land the Israelites conquered wasn't there cos they met some people there... Those people are the current Palestinians being cheated on by Israel... Shun that stories from Bible or Quran and discuss this with reality back up |

Re: Abraham's Promised Land And The Gaza Conflict by helinues: 10:02am On May 13, 2021 |

helinues: Archaeological findings have put the idea that the Hebrews migrated into the area into disrepute. What has been found suggests the Hebrew culture emerged from a Canaanite tribe, there is no evidence of large scale migration aka Exodus. The idea of a god promising them land is part of their mythological past meant to give justifications for the wars of conquest they embarked on to expand their territory in the ancient past. 3 Likes |

LordReed: There was large scale migration from the old Iraq which Israelites came from after their new land is prospering... More over the people of the old Iraq were tired of the law of their king 1 Like |
