Igbos whose businesses contributes to 70% of all funds generated deserves special Tax rates or no tax rates at all.

Why not say 98%

cool
flexyrule:
Instead of seeking a mere special status, why not agitate for resource control, which will be approved across board.
Let all states control their resources and pay tax to the federal government.

No,.I don't like it that.
Stupid FG can make a law that the higher you generate the more you pay.
You grab? State like Sokoto will be paying less.

Except if FG make it compulsory for all states to pay the same.amount of money (Say 1billion in a month) it will make all the states to buckle up and work harder.

Yes.
Lagos is home to all. The rate at which infrastructures are being stretched is getting alarming.
With the level of insecurity in the country, millions are trooping into Lagos on a daily basis for better lives; especially from the SE.

You must surely process the SE otherwise you cannot breathe....

For your mind, you be hongkong.

Well they say one step at a time.

Of course even a dummy knows such move is tantamount to using the collective resource of nigerians to develop South West and in a few years pull out of the zoo. This is not just subtle but wicked.

If you want an independent nation, then go for it stop looking for who to use..

This is why Fulani manipulates all in Nigeria.
For more than ten years, Bola Tinubu lamented over the need for political restructuring of Nigeria before whoever cared to listen.
Tinubu’s unstable political convictions infiltrate his political associates in the SW region.

This Lagos governor is asking for Status for Lagos under the present constitution, while the leaders of the SW, SS, SE, and Middle belt are calling for a new political structure and constitution.

It is overdue, lagos state need a special status. Lagos state is the cpu of the country.

South-South states that are getting 13% oil money, what have they done with it? So called special status for Lagos will only enlarge Tinubu's coast just like 13% oil allawee is in Ibori's account

In the review there's a section where miscreants on the internet will be arrested and the keys thrown in Atlantic Ocean.

Aren't you scared?

The review must bring about a clause to allow groups have their own country; not continue to share one country with parasites.

Must you narrow-mindedly tribalise everything? How did you even arrive at this unrealistic, misplaced and outrageously inflated 70% you claimed was generated?

Let us refrain from silly, caustic and egocentric comments that serves no one.

Lagos is Lagos. Soldier go, Soldier come. Barack go dey where e dey.

Worthy request.

I however plead with the Governor to fix the street lights on major roads within the State capital which have gone off since Ambode left office. Allen Avenue, Toyin street, and other prominent roads are examples. Pertinent especially for security reasons.

These roads also need resurfacing.

Upon all the FG assistance Lagos has been getting? some states are begging for 20% of what lagos has already received from FG. It is the infrastructure and parastatals eg Seaport, international airport, embassies etc, that Lagos received from FG that made Lagos what it is today not the other way round.

In a sane country these these federal government infrastructures would be distributed across the country

Ask yourself is it only lagos that has access to the sea? Why are there no other major sea ports in the south?

Find out about the UK and ask yourself if all the sea ports are in London and all the Goverment ministries are in London?

Tinubu contributed to today development in lagos state. Why will you compare Lagos state with SS? Even without the special status, lagos state is still doing better.

Ok what can we do abt that now ? Lagos inherited man made development and progressing but some states are burning down the small Infrastructures in their states. They inherited God made natural resource Instead of them to develop their states they are empowering group of Terrorists for distructions and request of virtual country .they have small money they recruit Terrorists ,I don't know what they will recruit if they have more money on their side?

For those who are old enough, Lagos was already meant to have a 'special status', as part of the agreement when the abokis insisted on moving the capital to Abuja.

So this isnt anything new, it is Nigeria's New York so it should have a special status and way more funding. The Lagos light rail should receive additional federal funding for example

They have distributed across the country Ibadan, Kano and Kaduna all have drive ports. PH, Warri, Calabar all have seaports, Rivers actually has two seaports.

Lagos ceased to be the federal capital in 1989 yet Lagos population has continued to grow due to migration from the SE, SS and Northern Nigeria.

Maybe we should accept that the managers of Lagos are the main reason why Lagos is the most viable region in Nigeria, despite the large arable lands in the North and oil resources in the South-South.
