With unemployment rate officially at over 30 percent, The odds of getting a lucrative job are already very low.
No need to look too far on the cause of joblessness.

Here is my advice:

Learn a skill if you have none. It's possible you can still be looking for job till the year runs out. How about making attempts to get a job, but at the same time, bracing yourself with the necessary skills? so that, by the end of the year, you can boost of a skill you've mastered, and then, next year, you start monetizing your skill.

But if you have one already, learn how to monetize it. If you're finding it difficult, get someone who is in your field that is profiting from the skill, and learn.

It will reduce the stress of starting from scratch and saves time with effective results..

E easy abi? Answer this

How did our get your laptop, free?
Data you used , free?
The Ebooks?
The food and rent plus utilities, were they Free or were you a free loader,
The accessories and repairs or the upgrades you made , you got them free abi?
The extras nko abi all these fell from heaven?

Be empathetic towards others, not everyone has family or friends to give that support they need, some do odd jobs n low paying jobs just to raise money for a laptop

All those shouting Learn a skill!!! Learn a skill !!

Is it not money you would use to learn something undecided even after learning to establish oneself in this present Nigeria is something to worry about. The economy is not so favourable for entrepreneurs.

No one is ready to borrow you money for you to start any business, everybody eye just red.... Make God just bless you with grace and favour.

The misconception you have is that a skill needs to be learnt in the four walls of an institution, well it doesn't, I started a laser cutting business at the heat of the pandemic, I learnt all I could from YouTube, Facebook forum, other forums and research, I moped up my savings and got money from family as support. It a little over a year now and I have made sales of more than a million naira. From my earnings the machine is already paid for and I'm already looking at getting another machine before the end of the year.

What's my point, let's encourage people to start from were they are with what they have. A smart phone and internet most times is more than enough to start learning a skill. Most times what makes a business idea succeed is not money, it is strategy and commitment. I've seen people given $50k and have nothing to show for it, I've also seen people bootstrap with mostly no capital, they outsource their ideas and make money, over time they can afford to buy whatever their business needs. It all about perspective is the glass half full or is it half empty?
