If you have a Starcomms modem, your computer traffic identifies all the gateway its using to send and receive data.
A VPN disguises the name, and tells your computer you are using a Multilinks modem.

If your bank details can be stolen over the "multilinks" modem, then it can be stolen over the Starcomms modem.

Explain how this is true. Don't just post insinuations and opinions. How, pray tell, can VPN expose sensitive information? Through what channels? What information do you provide to VPN companies that puts a user at risk to information security compromise?
