If a lady follows you to a hotel for sex and when you want to start she says no, if you go ahead to force her it is still rape. Hope the men here know that because I have been seeing some comments here saying 'didn't she know what she was going there to do'?

But she can collect money abi? Acceptance of money for sex is indicative of consent. To withdraw such consent, you have to refund the money first or expressly commit to returning it.

She's a product of a broken home

Not properly nurtured to adulthood
Let's remember the children who come from broken homes, surrounded by crime, drugs, temptation, their peers having babies out of wedlock, but who still manage to get a good education despite the many obstacles they face every day.

I was wondering the same. Or maybe it was the reporter that brought these issues to her attention for her response.

Little girls of these days are just something else
Perhaps our greatest concern is with families. The family is falling apart all over the world. The old ties that bound together father and mother and children are breaking everywhere. We must face this in our own midst. There are too many broken homes among our own. The love that led to marriage somehow evaporates, and hatred fills its place. Hearts are broken, children weep.

What's wrong with the grammar? I'll be very glad to hear and learn from you and learning continues.

Here's the correct way to write it:

If she HAD committed the act successfully, she WOULD HAVE GONE to her Instagram and started posing with different heartbreaking captions.

Well, I don't pray she GETS out of this so that it will be a great lesson for all ladies out there seeking (NO for) greener pastures and always WANTING to reap where they didn't sow.

Sense is not in your head. Even if she was defending herself and all. When she killed him. What stopped her from telling the security men in charge or reporting to a close station or even telling her father if she was afraid to do either of those??.
They found the man dead on Sunday while she was caught on Wednesday so spare me the bullshit talk. On top of that she went ahead to withdraw from the man's account. She probably wanted to withdraw more than that not until the account was blocked and she was traced. Guy how do you even reason at times??
She booked the hotel with a fake ids.
No provoke me this Sunday morning o.
The man she killed got children too and how would they feel. For all I know they both adults and he without sin should cast the first stone.
She booked the hotel for both of them to do what Sing praise and worship abi?? Ode
We all know what all the slay Queens use as defensive guide. RAPE....
So get your shit together and think well. If it was your immediate brother she killed in that way. Will you be saying all this rubbish you're saying

I didn't get the account where she booked the hotel for both of them, I thought it was the man that invited her over, can you substantiate on this claim? Regarding why she didn't report to security or her dad, she might have thought she would get away with it without being traced, that is not an evidence to say she killed the man purposely

With a good lawyer, she will get 20yrs(10 each for the two charges) that will run concurrently.
She will spend maximum of 5yrs in jail.

If she Chidinma didn't kill Ataga, another lady/woman would probably have done it. I believe that, Ataga, like Biblical Samson, is programmed to die in the filthy hand of whoredom.

When Delilah tricked Samson into death-trap and was eventually killed, was Delilah killed in return? If yes, then Chidinma should be killed.

If Ataga's family want justice, they should withdraw the case from the Nigeria police and contract some men to handle the modular justice.

Nobody kills my "friend", "brother", or "sister" and would be allowed to live. "An eye for an eye" is the best justice.

Your parents sent you to school, you started doing Olosho's business.

Well, I don't pray she GETS out of this so that it will be a great lesson for all ladies out there seeking greener pastures and always WANTING to reap where they didn't sow.

I quite agree with your submission.. If she had not been caught, she’d probably have become another “small girl, big God” on Instagram despite having no visible means of livelihood..

Shame On us All

I cannot claim to be privy to anymore information than everyone already has.

My heart goes out to the family of the deceased and I hope they find fortitude for the loss of their breadwinner.

But this young lady here! As a father my heart aches to see her in this distress and mess. I've seen the gruesome comments on social media. This wasnt just an event, she arrived here. This has been building up. This person has committed an act that may not describe who she really might be.

I hear stories young ladies from challenged backgrounds share with me. It takes grace and unusual class for many girls to stay off the Aristo-highway- especially those who have the dilemma of being endowed by nature beautifully on one hand and yet raised and socialised in poverty on the other.

I am not excusing her behaviour, i am only asking society to reflect on the deeper malaise that is eating up the soul of the society and turning the streets into breeding grounds for rapists, drug addicts, cultists, murderers, many of whom are only babies .

This shames us all. Shame to those philandering sugar daddies with morbid libidos, who exploit girls for sexual favours rather than provide scholarships and support.

Shame to the police who violated this girl's rights and put her in front of a ravenous media grunting for spoil.

Shame on all the institutions of state and religion who failed young people like her. The lack of humanity in those institutions and their policies has failed a generation- No student loans, no scholarships, no safe spaces, no welfare/social security programmes, nothing. All we have is the grasslands of the savannahs where you eat or get eaten.

Justice will be served and she will take responsibility for her actions because in the end she failed herself as well. But in her judgement, we all stand indicted.

Dont wait for a scandal to erupt and give transducers and fly-by-night jury of social media a field day. Pay attention to young people in your community today .

You just earned my full respect sir/ma. I'm just reading comments n I've refused to comment or take sides....

You are a father indeed. Awesome analysis.

grandlexuz:
What this girl needs at this point is a good lawyer and not interviews with journalists who care next to nothing about her welfare. For the news outlets and bloggers it is all about trending and being the first to report the colour of the bra she wore on the night of the incident..

As a father to a teenage daughter I pity her and wonder at what point drugs could push a 21 year old girl to murder. Afterall fights and disagreement broke out all the time at Hard Drug Smoking Joints and murder is never always the outcome..

If she made payments for the Short Service outlet then she definitely knew it was a night for sex. After all what business has a 21 year old undergraduate got with a 50 year old CEO. Whatever went wrong I doubt self defence was a major factor that led to the CEO's death.

The absence of visible marks on the girls body puts self defence at bay. You cant defend yourself and come out without a black eye or cuts to the body judging a knife was involved. She came out unscathed while the man got three fatal wounds. Me think after the emotional ploy to get the man's pincode her anxiety and motive to kill heightened.

You complain the man doesn't meet your needs nor take care of you. When he hands over his card and pin you say that's not what you want and meant. Went ahead to kill him, cleaned off and left to the ATM to withdraw money for your fees. That she moved on so easily in the face of a gruesome murder is frightening. I think I need to ask my daughter some questions.

I have seen men given a new lease to life by side chicks, I have seen others die young at the hands of their wives; a lady just got the death sentence for slaughtering her husband. I have seen men abandoned by their wives during times of hardship and sickness only for a side chick to step in and make a difference. At such I will not judge Ataga. Just like Abacha he wasn't lucky.

Disturbing though is the news of a 50year old man smoking SK and Loud with a girl young enough to be his daughter..It was not just a side chick relationship but a toxic party that went bad for both parties.

Her face looks too innocent to commit such act, like I told my friend yesterday that if my pastor is caught in any act of attrocities(God forbid) I won't be surprise cos I don't trust anyone again even myself.. parenting has shifted to teachers at school which has shown how dilapidated our society has become.. their are still many of them outside there pretending to be doing one business or the other, flaunting materials things on social media but in their closet they are real oloshos and fucking pretenders.. may God save this rotten generation.. no more reproductive youth out there again everyone are just pretending till they are caught..
