You really don't need to go into marriage without planning to be faithful. This is for both men and women btw.. You can have baby mamas/ baby daddy or even have an open marriage from the onset.
There are partners who would agree to such.
An unmarried couple may agree to live together in school, provided they're adults.
That doesn't mean they're cheating on their future partners...
Where is that your logic coming from?
I think you are averse to taking responsibility and want a leeway to cheat by claiming to punish your wife for her previous relationships which had nothing to do with you. You knew she wasn't one before marrying her, so what are you on about?
In African tradition, cohabitation is a taboo and men are not judged by their sexual histories but women are. We copy Westerners for licentiousness but our system is different. 4/7 marriages in the UK end in divorce and about 50% in the USA. You think love should over shadow a girls past but if you watch Divorce court and Paternity court on YouTube you find the opposite. If I can provide financially for my wife and kids then I have done my job. Whatever I do outside the house is my business. Most people think Hollywood love is real, it's not. We get married to have children and a stable home and that's it. Anything else is fantasy

Lol. Lets get something straight, the side chick is beautiful, no arguments about it.
Those people who are surprised that he cheated on his "wealthy" wife don't understand the psyche of men, probably they are women. Men don't care how wealthy a woman is, it does not give us an erection.

With that out of the way i don't know why he felt the need to have a side chick. Maybe his wife was not giving him sex or maybe he stopped seeing his wife as sexually attractive(this is important, a woman might be beautiful but she may not be sexually attractive. That is why some men complain about their wives adding weight etc)
Maybe he did not like the fact that his wife has more money than him(this is a possibility, watch this movie: crazy rich asians)

there could be any number of reasons or there was no reason, his wife might have been giving him tai chi sex style but he still wanted Chidinma.
His wife might have submitting her earnings to him, so as not to make him feel bad about her out earning him and he still wanted Chidinma.

Many things can drive a man to cheat. Or he just wanted to cheat.

I don't know the circumstances of his household so I can't really blame him for cheating. Personally I would have divorced my wife and married Chidinma if things were that bad with my wife. However, all men are not the same. Also, it is convenient to keep a wife and have a side chick or chicks, you get the best of both worlds.

Like crackhaus said even right now many married men around the world are going to meet their side chicks in one place like that. Same for many married women. Oh yes! some married women are in the game too.

If I was forced to blame someone or something for the CEO's cheating, I would blame the lax sexual morality in our world today. Sex is everywhere, from music videos to billboards, to social media like instagram, to the kind of dressing women wear that make men think of sex! sex!! and more sex!!!
Or you think its a coincidence that there are many body hugging, tight dresses available in the boutiques and markets these days?
A few weeks back a nairalander female was complaining about not finding decent clothes anymore, instead all she could find wear tight dresses and their likes.

Nor be say I hear say or dem tell me, we dey see them.

It's on NL that I see these women painting themselves as innocent angels who were left at the mercy of devilish men, when even some of them on this same forum are guilty of being married and have cheated.
I said what I said...

LOL in mandarin...

What has employing or trusting such a girl got to do with using her as a side-chick to cure boredom and perform all the kayanmata styles on whenever a man wants? cheesy

Perhaps women are yet to understand what men who engage in extramarital affairs need these side-chicks for. They usually don't care about the morality or uprightness of such girls/women?
A side-chick could be a liar and an unserious yahoo playgirl if she wants, she could even be willing to smoke/drink herself to death if she so desires. To most of those men, it's just a piece of pússy to pump and cúm in... and honestly, the more depraved and irresponsible she is, the better.

It's not like the truly responsible women with good morals and exceptional characters are going to agree to be a married man's play-thing in the first place.

It's the lack of focus for me, and it's a shame many men do not perform due diligence.
Men are so simplistic, even the supposedly highly cerebral ones.
I never mentioned her habits of smoking or taking alcohol. That doesn't define my morality or how responsible a person is, perhaps it defines yours.
Those are not a big deal to me tbh, and are not deal breakers for me, because I ticked that all those boxes a long time ago. Infact, some of my friends that I would term the most focused amongst us still have all those habits. I can't judge them by that, though I may have a different opinion about their choices.
I only have a problem with those people, if they lack self control and let it get to the stage that their habits control them instead.
I'm at a stage in my life that I won't even judge anyone that decides to sleep around- male or female, afterall it's just sex. Sex has always been transactional for many women anyway, and the currency may not necessarily be money.
I can however have an opinion on your choices.
If I'm going to sleep around, there are basic fundamentals of due diligence I would perform.
(But I won't go into that. Topic for another day and place)
For me, it's all about self preservation, and it seems many men don't seem to have that innate instinct.
Why would I decide to have a fling with a person who I suspect is high risk and would put me at risk of an unfavorable event?
No matter how good I suspect the sex is going to be, you're off my list if you don't meet my basic criteria.
- She wasn't a focused young girl. How you chose to interprete the word focus is left to you sha ( but it's not about your habits of smoking shisha, alcohol or having a good time at the club).
-He didn't have control of the environment in the first place, hence was already at a disadvantage. She booked the air bnb, as I heard.
Why would any right thinking man do that? Except he wasn't thinking at all. His dick was.
He already gave away control and was led like a ram into her territory to be slaughtered.
He lost guard, like most men would because of trying to have sex.
Something that seems as simple as having a relationship with a side chick or escort should be done with due diligence. There is a point you should get to in your life that it should be a no brainer (imagine a 50 year old successful man), but some men are too lazy to bother.
I can't be so careless in having just anyone as a side boo at this stage of my life. Even one night stands will have all protocols observed.
My own advice is that in your quest for having a side chick, have a standard you would uphold, because your very existence may depend on it.

Let me tell the naive people why threads are springing up and down to justify a community stick killed in active duty. It is because the wife is wealthy and self reliant. There is the natural antagonism men have towards wealthy wives.
How dare she have a great career!
How dare she achieve all the things they could never achieve!
She must be having an affair to attain all that, while forgetting thousands of men that are even younger in similar positions.
If it were a poor housewife that lost her husband in such a nasty way, they would be much more sympathetic.
But see them assuming that she was not giving him sex in one breath while saying that all men would cheat, even men that get laid everyday.
Una dey live with them for house to know that they don't have sexx. Shebi he has come to complain to your people that he is starved at home.
Conspiracy theories have risen to say she had a hand in his death. No evidence to support this, people have assumed the worst simply because she has a great career.
Anyway, good riddance to rubbish.
The wife won eventually. Who knows how many times she had pleaded with the man to leave Chidinma alone?
Who knows how many times her husband and his killer had taunted and dared her to do her worst?
Mrs Ataga should just play the hurt widow role very well and and collect all the man's property.
Shebi it is when his family is done with court case that they would have time to drag property with her.
Many married women would start praying for "Chidinmas" to meet their randy husbands
That way they have the public sympathy and can secretly gloat over the shameless death of men who have refused to stay one place.

It's not about whether "we guys" never learn. What is there to learn anyway?
So because plane dey crash, you will not enter plane again? cheesy

Let's be realistic...

There will always be sugar-daddies (people's husbands) and there will always be side-chicks (people's girlfriends). So there's really NOTHING to learn from the minister who disgraced himself out of office, or from Usifo who died at the hands of a side-chick.

Such emotional blackmails about learning from all this, are at best juvenile... like what primary school girls should be using to scare their male classmates.

Don't you know that right this minute as I am typing this comment, all over Nigeria in particular and even the world in general, sugar-daddies are still with their side-chicks collecting blowjóbs and feeling fly? grin
Nothing has changed and nothing will change, the business moves on...

The blame games are irrelevant and completely unnecessary...

Thousands of Chidinmas have already lodged into hotels, pent-houses, & apartments today. Thousands of Usifos are already on their way there to meet them.

Na who dem catch or who die, dem dey use as scapegoat... For the rest, we meuuuuve. grin

Well first things first, any woman either my wife or any other woman that claims to be pregnant for me, I will secretly have a DNA test on the child everytime it happens. When it comes to cheating, women do it already without informing their husbands. That your wife will not cheat on you for a 35 years marriage is a 50-50 chance. I am a Criminologist, that's what I studied in school, anything any human does is not a surprise to me. You don't need to wrong somebody for them to hurt you. I have zero trust and expect the worst cos that's what my HOD taught me. You can give a woman the whole world with love and she will still do what's on her mind if she feels like it. It's only our religious and moral convictions that serve as self control agents, if not we humans are hedonistic and pleasure seeking. Mr White Knight, the day one girl bleeps you up, you go shock.

Who should we blame for the man's cheating, Mbok?

The man is at fault for cheating. We all agree that he did not deserve to die because he cheated.

HOWEVER, if he did not cheat, he would not have become a victim.

Chidinma the killer runs girl would have found another victim and Mr. Ataga would be alive eating Sunday rice now.

When people are warned to be careful or shun certain situations/vices, it is not to 'support' the criminal or victim shaming; it is avoid becoming a victim or statistics.

God console all the people he left behind.
Did anyone tells you or did you have evidence that Chidimma is a serial killer? Don’t forget that this could also be the first sugar Daddy Chidimma is meeting. It’s very wrong for you to assume that Chidimma would have found another victim. This is just an unfortunate situation that Chidimma and the victim found themselves into and possibly non of them have evil in their mind. They just wanted to do what others has been doing and call it enjoyment.

I wish in sexual/romantic relationships between Men & Women, each party would listen to themselves and/or observe what is actually obtainable and not regurgitating whatever their group/herd tells them or spins off.

For the rest, we meuuuuve.
grin

This guy ehn grin grin

Unfortunately you are right people will never learn, neither will this incident stop peeps from cheating.

Lol, your points are well received and adjudged to be well thought-out.

About the part where you said that men are so simplistic, I can't argue with that especially when it comes to vagína.
I have typed it before here, it's only you women that group/separate yourselves into classes, men don't care about that shít...not even the most cerebral and wealthy ones do, like you already noted.

To a lot of men, and I dare say, to all men, vagína is vagína
. It hardly matters the status, level, or focus (as you put it) of the woman carrying it... especially when she's not someone he wants to marry.

Dangote, an astute businessman and undeniably the wealthiest black man in the world, has seen his áss plastered all over the internet.
The other billionaire in the US is getting divorced because of infidelity.
Late Usifo (God rest his soul) is even small in comparison to these heavyweights, yet all of them don jonze...

More men are just like them, and are still going to continue in the game with an unlimited abundance of ever willing women.

Like I said before, na who dem catch dem dey use as scapegoat and sunday school lesson.

Hmmm

Na real wa @ bolded.

Gosh, at first I almost quoted you with anger but the sarcasm...smooth *slow claps*

1. @ first bold They want us to blame the wife

2. @ 2nd bold - That is the truth a lot of men don't want to admit.

3. He didn't deserve to die because he cheated but if he didn't cheat he wouldn't have died .

4. They should sha leave the wife out of the matter, husband's loss is enough pain .

1. Irrespective of what the wife's alleged shortcomings were, he decided to resolve it by cheating. 100% his choice.

2. Well people would blame others for their choices and their brother started in Eden with 'the wife you gave me' cheesy as if she force-fed him with the apple.

3. I wish this is what the 'anti-victim shamers' would understand. It is only in an alternate universe that actions don't have consequences. Some actions would make you more susceptible to be the victim/target of a crime. It is common sense.

4. Wise madam has been quiet since. Let her just take some time off with the kids and stay out of public eye till it blows over. This is Nigeria: something else would soon make the news.

Did I call Chidinma a 'serial killer' or 'Killer Runs Girl'?

When someone cheats, the blame goes to the cheater and not any other person. People should learn to take responsibility for their actions as long as they were not forced into such action

The most annoying "blame" on this Ataga's wife was, someone wrote and I quote The wife is to be blamed for his death because she allowed him date the girl, there is no how a man would have a side chick for four months and the wife wouldn't know, she ought to have monitored his affairs and cautioned him.

Like seriously?

I don’t understand why you are shining your teeth, is this suppose to be a laughing matter,so the man should die because he cheated?

Who be this one? How is it your business if I shine my teeth? If he had kept his diick only for the wife, would he have been murdered by a side hen? Abeg swerve.
