Since the death of the CEO of Super TV, Michael Usifo Ataga who was alleged murdered by his 21 year old side chic, Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, they have been a lot of mixed reactions from people. And since the identity and social status of his wife was revealed to the public, there have been a continuous attack on the late CEO.

Most persons have wondered what the deceased was looking for in other women that his wealthy and beautiful wife, Mrs. Brenda Ataga doesn't have in abundance. And that alone has triggered massive and severe attacks on the deceased, but I think it is wrong for people to continue attacking and condemning him in the manner they have resorted to.

Yes, people should stop attacking and condemning him forth with, because it now seems like most people are indirectly justifying the murder of the late CEO by his 21 year old side chic, Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, who is also a 300 level student of Mass Communication at the University of Lagos State (UNILAG). It is so unfortunate that most of us are no longer condemning the heartless murder of Mr. Ataga, hence, the deceased has become the only villain in the whole story.

Yes, it is a fact that the circumstances leading to his death definitely must have caused so much pains and embarrassment to his wife, kids, friends and other members of his family. But the fact remains that there is no amount of argument or logic that will justify the killing of any human for cheating on his or her partner. Whatever lesson other men should learn from that incident must not be projected above the gravity of the offence committed.

On the other hand, there's no living soul that is without one fault/blemish or the other, as such, the deceased is neither an exception nor his case different. Even some of those trying so hard to devour him have done worse things than him, it's just because they have not been caught in the act. Even the Holy Bible in the book of Romans 3:23, says, "for all have sinned and fall short of God's glory." So, no one is perfect or without a stain, none!

In fact, the more condemnations we subject the deceased to, especially the ones littered across the various media platforms, the more pains we are causing for his people. They will definitely read some of the things we say or write against late Michael Usifo Ataga, which in turn causes more and more embarrassment to them, and subsequently subjecting them to further pains and emotional trauma

We men just need to control ourselves, most of these little girls these days are possessed with demons, they can easily kill and loot your properties, if you have a wife don't cheat on her, if you want to add another wife you can marry again, it's as simple as that. just take a look at how this ataga died in the most gruesome way, really terrible.

The last thing I'll do in this life is to tell a married man how to live his life.

If as a married man, you're not okay with your wife's kpekus, you should be ready to face any challenges that comes through your promiscuous lifestyle.

I have read plenty of comments defending the fact that he cheated on his wife.

Not only did people try to justify what is wrong but even found ways to blame his wife for his mistakes.

As usual boys on this forum have found ways to justify and excuse what is wrong, adultery.

I have no intention and zero motivation to defend any man who can't control his penis, dead or alive.

They already have enough people justifying what should be considered wrong.

It's one of the disadvantages of being a man.
Kill, you get blamed. Get killed, you will still be blamed.
A woman slaps you and you let her go, you will be called a weakling. You hit back, you will be attacked.
You fall in love and tell you father, he will say idiot, who is the girl. A girl falls in love and tells her father and he will say, who is the idiot.

It's not easy.

The fact remains that women naturally change after getting married and having children. Their libidinal drive reduces drastically, and feel no incentive to sexually satisfy their husbands, after all, she already has children for him. Men don't change at all, men don't get pregnant and so their bodies remain intact. When a man wants to marry, he is told to get a good wife who should be of high morals. How many married women are willing to give their husbands bj, or indulge in acrobatic sex. Moreover, men most especially in Nigeria don't expect love from a woman's if he ain't got money, when he does have money he feels he should do whatever pleases him. Men of financial power and influence will always do what they want because they can afford it. Even broke guys cheat talk less of man who is rich.

Well this man's wife's body remained intact and as classy as ever.

If her husband refused to mature and refine his taste , it def can't be her fault. After all, we saw the side chick and her red talons...so we get his kind of taste wink.

And did you say, men are told to get a wife with good morals? Now, that can't be true for the gender that's supposedly the stronger one. Rather, that sounds so much like passing on the buck. The problem which you are too partial or maybe too involved to recognise is that you and your ilk want to eat your cake and have it.

Y'all want the prestige of wifey being nnpc top shot and the thrills of having an acrobatic side chick while dumping the entire responsibility of child rearing which is not necessarily restricted to domestic chores but may include just showing up for the child at school events.

What I really don't understand in this matter is why people are trying to rope the wife as being the cause of his infidelity and subsequent death.
Her children have just been left fatherless, and she has suddenly been left a widow.
Why blame her again?
Even if he wanted to have an affair, he should have vetted the girl he was going to start sleeping with. A girl who claimed to be in Unilag but hasn't been attending classes.
He was a man with very poor taste and unfortunately, he picked a scammer and murderer. That cannot be blamed on his wife.
Though, he didn't deserve to lose his life for his indiscretions. My sympathies to his loved ones

If this man had not died, nobody will have heard all this. We all can say what we want to say but we are not in their marriage and so do not have 100℅ knowledge about what goes on between them. Sex is fun for men and we will always attracted to a woman curves and body. No partner is to be blamed for infidelity, humans have free will and are pleasure seeking. As long as we have young women who are greedy and willing to use their vagina to make money, and men with diverse and insatiable sexual appetite, cheating will always happen. Women cheat as well but are better at hiding it. Whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, only when incidents like this occurs. I can't promise my wife that I will never cheat on her, I will just try not to be reckless about. Na flexing, no be war.

And all this girls sounding angry and bitter, are just forming holy holy. When a girl is between the ages of 17 and 27, they have a lot of toasters. In fact nobody can tell them what to do. They secretly have sex with bad boys and abort the baby, but once they get married and have children, they expect a man that won't cheat on them.

I was expecting to see some tangible reasons why he shouldn't be blamed for cheating, as per your title, but you gave none. The "there's no living soul that is without one fault/blemish" excuse you wrote, is not one.

As the only person responsible for his death is the killer who took his life, the only person responsible for his cheating is, well, the cheater. Learn to hold people responsible for their actions.

@Op:

Who should we blame for the man's cheating, Mbok?

The man is at fault for cheating. We all agree that he did not deserve to die because he cheated.

HOWEVER, if he did not cheat, he would not have become a victim.

Chidinma the killer runs girl would have found another victim and Mr. Ataga would be alive eating Sunday rice now.

When people are warned to be careful or shun certain situations/vices, it is not to 'support' the criminal or victim shaming; it is avoid becoming a victim or statistics.

God console all the people he left behind.

I grew up in Samaru, Zaria, the town where Ahmadu Bello University is located. As a kid I already knew of Campus marriage and girls living with their boyfriends off campus or those who go to Abuja for weekend with Alhaji. I can't count the number of girls in my neighborhood who before they were 22 have already aborted 2 or more pregnancies. Girls from the south who do their NYSC in the north turn to low key prostitues. See eh, girls leave their homes and do bullshit far away and come back and pretend to be saints. Their past is usually a secret. If you know that your husband will not or did not marry you as a virgin don't get angry when he cheats on you becos that same thing that made you not able to keep yourself until marriage is the same thing that makes him flex even when married. If a man is broke nobody cares if he is faithful or not, that's why guys when they make money do whatever they like. You girls are not perfect, you whatever you like when you are young and wake up in your 30s and 40s and talk as if you don't have a past.

You really don't need to go into marriage without planning to be faithful. This is for both men and women btw.. You can have baby mamas/ baby daddy or even have an open marriage from the onset.
There are partners who would agree to such.
An unmarried couple may agree to live together in school, provided they're adults.
That doesn't mean they're cheating on their future partners...
Where is that your logic coming from?
I think you are averse to taking responsibility and want a leeway to cheat by claiming to punish your wife for her previous relationships which had nothing to do with you. You knew she wasn't one before marrying her, so what are you on about?

LOL in mandarin...

What has employing or trusting such a girl got to do with using her as a side-chick to cure boredom and perform all the kayanmata styles on whenever a man wants? cheesy

Perhaps you women are yet to understand what men who engage in extramarital affairs need these side-chicks for. They usually don't care about the morality or uprightness of such girls/women?
A side-chick could be a liar and an unserious yahoo playgirl if she wants, she could even be willing to smoke/drink herself to death if she so desires. To most of those men, it's just a piece of pússy to pump and cúm in... and honestly, the more depraved and irresponsible she is, the better.

It's not like the truly responsible women with good morals and exceptional characters are going to agree to be a married man's play-thing in the first place.

It's not about whether "we guys" never learn. What is there to learn anyway?
So because plane dey crash, you will not enter plane again? cheesy

Let's be realistic...

There will always be sugar-daddies (people's husbands) and there will always be side-chicks (people's girlfriends). So there's really NOTHING to learn from the minister who disgraced himself out of office, or from Usifo who died at the hands of a side-chick.

Such emotional blackmails about learning from all this, are at best juvenile... like what primary school girls should be using to scare their male classmates.

Don't you know that right this minute as I am typing this comment, all over Nigeria in particular and even the world in general, sugar-daddies are still with their side-chicks collecting blowjóbs and feeling fly? grin
Nothing has changed and nothing will change, the business moves on...

The blame games are irrelevant and completely unnecessary...

Thousands of Chidinmas have already lodged into hotels, pent-houses, & apartments today. Thousands of Usifos are already on their way there to meet them.

Na who dem catch or who die, dem dey use as scapegoat... For the rest, we meuuuuve. grin
