About what u need to get admission and the tuition palava. All universities in germany do not charge tuition except 2 federal states. All information about the admission process can be found on www.daad.de/en or www.study-in.de. The interview questions were simple questions you also will ask anyone applying for student visa should you be the consular. The questions were no big deals. |

tetraman: @jejet, I appreciate your replies. How about additional documents, what additional documents did you take to the interview and what additional documents were required. All these has been answered by jejet... go re-read and go to the german embassy website for more details. One thing about germany is this, if you miss any document they won't reject your application. They'll rather ask you to go get it.... sefini SHEYI 3 Likes |

suxes2005: Sussex is right. You can always call them, and they response politely and with respet. Better still, u can send email. If you email b4 3pm mon-fri, they will respond within the hour. Thats the most disciplined embassy l've been to or ever heard of all the foreign mission in Nija. One hour inside the embassy change your opinion or impression about germqn racism rumour. I think the only racist and tribalist there are their Nigerian staff cos they can be arrogant in most cases. 2 Likes |

Information for international student who will be studying in Germany!!!. The german government ammended it's immigration law on foreign students in germany in April, 2012. International students can now work for 120 full days and 240 half days per annum instead of the former 90 full days and 180 half days per annum. Graduates of german university can now extend their resident permit for 18 months after graduation to look for a graduate level job instead of the former 12 months. After working for working for two years, you are elligible to apply for a permanent resident instead of the former 5 years. 15 Likes 1 Share |

naijaobi: Thank you to all that have been contributing to this thread.. I cant answer for tourist and business visa. But from my personal survey and observation, I've not not heard of anyone denied student visa. I've been in contact with all the people I know that applied for the student visa, none were denied. The issue of virgin pp may apply to tourism and business folks. 1 Like |

surecan: @Jejet,most of the school i visited said that transcript should be certified and included with the completed application,do you think i should just notarize and send it with the application.thanks Your transcript is an official doc on it self sealed in the school envelope and stamp confidential. You only need go cerftify ur certificate. It is best to certify it from ur school, cos thats what I did. Plus, my cert can also be verified online,so my school and the embassh doesn't have problem with it's authenticity. |

surecan: All you need do is get copies of your documents authenticated by a 'notary public'- usually legal practitioners. You shoul find this option available for most universities in Germany, you can verify this on the "required documents" page of your choice university. As for TOEFL you can also avoid it by obtaining a letter from your state's ministry of education which would indicate that you have been taught in English from primary education through university (about 16 years). These worked for me and also for a friend of mine. All the best. 2 Likes 1 Share |

You can check the front page of www.study-in.de or check the living in germany section of www.daad.de Better still, u can google "germany international student immigration job" or similar search words. I can give u a link as i am browsing with my phone. The studentenwerk of my university was the first to inform me before daad and study-in.de even put it on their web page. Try and google, it's a confirmed info. Regards |
