Lavisha: You must have typed the bolded while being high on marijuana. When I was a kid, my late father had a farm where all kinds of crops were planted. Me and my brothers used to go to that farm and dig out the potatoes and eat them raw to our hearts desire. This we did over a period of years. |

Pure mumu, ostrich out of touch with reality mentality as usual not to talk about being utterly hypocritical. It is always ironical when you read this kind of nonsense. I can still remember a kindly mopol guy teaching my 15 year old self how to properly roll a blunt. That shows you how much our law enforcement respect this retarded law. Everyone knows that it doesn't make a difference in consumption whether you legalize the herb or not. The only people that stand to lose from legalization is our corrupt law enforcement (the useless NDLEA in particular) because this closes a key avenue for corruption. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

einsteine: Here lies an properly articulated and educated soul. What Bubba is telling the citizens he hopes are mostly illiterate is that, Niejeria will win the war on drugs that The United States could not win and is now on the verge of legalizing. The war that the Mexicans cannot win dying like ants and are finally taking a different approach. The war that President Duerte of the Philippines could not win after murdering thousands of his brothers. That war with Bubba and his ilk at the helm? Bubba is saying that he is still in the fight and has a plan to win this war by staying the course. The high number of users he quoted, it sounds like they appeared overnight as if he hasn't been in position of power to demonstrate his magical solution to stop free thinking humans from legally or illegally engaging in a personal vice. Can he tell us how hight the user base was em throughout his adminstration as governor? Bubba cannot stop and think...hey, if this country has the highest number of cannabis consumers in West Africa it must be for a reason. And hey if this country has the best weather to grow this commodity that is soon to be a global commodity, perhaps I could consider a different approach. Maybe we export it, maybe we put taxes on it, maybe we sanction only safe and doseable formats because you know there used to be a time one would have their head chopped off for drinking coffee, or go to jail for drinking alcohol. Hear another animal talk as Fela said. You hear this animal fear talk Bubba is telling is the exact same talk from the various failed wars on this plant. First in the US that said it possessed white women to want to have sex with Africans. When that didn't work, it had the opposite effect. They said it will make you go mad. Even that didn't work then they started to lock people up. Bubba wouldn't you rather a 16 year old caught with cannabis go home and eat some cane from their guardian than get attested, receive a criminal record and be scared for life more destined to get into crime for advancement? Wake up Bubba. 2 Likes |

Why are we a federal structural? If each state in Nigeria with an elected governor can not have the power to legislate on the right to cultivate cannabis or other related plants for medicinal purposes. The federal government should leave the legal framework at the disposal of each state. For example, some states in the core north claim their religion forbid the selling of alcohol and they set up sharia paramilitary task force to enforce the ban. At the same time some states in the middle belt and southern part did not enforce the ban on sale and consumption of Alcohol as the decision was left at the individual consumer to take. So my take on the matter is that our kind of federalism is contributing to our national challenge. As every decision we take about Nigeria is been influenced by what the government in Abuja feel. If Abuja FCT does not key in into that idea no matter how brilliant that idea is the idea will not see the light of the day. Abuja aso rock must approve it. This is how Nigeria is being operated right from our independence era. The centre want to MONOPOLIZE every decision on education, agriculture, police, local government, state creation, resource control, vat collection at the state level, sea port management. Worst of all, and to the detriment of Southern Nigeria, some of our past Nigerian leaders like Obasanjo and Jonathan used their presidency both as military head of state and civilian President to turn Abuja FCT to the monster that it is today. They were happy as national leaders rather than fight for their regions development. Now the north and their political leaders have become a monster to the southern people. They want to use fulani herdsmen to islamise the south and take over their land and water resources. Because of Obasanjo failure as a leader right from his military era where he was comfortable being seen as a national leader the Northerners exploited General Obasanjo weakness and today they now have confidence to dictate the direction of Nigeria. It was the same President Olusegun Obasanjo who foisted Jonathan a very weak Vice President and later President on Nigeria. President Jonathan had no aspiration for that high office. He was only interested in the office of Deputy Governor of Bayelsa state. What was Jonathan performance as Vice President and President very poor. He did not seek the top job of President or Vice President and obviously was unprepared for the job unlike Chief MKO Abiola who sought the presidency and was prepared and he won the presidential election. Nigeria must learn not to recycle political office holder or do "ARRANGEE" to pick unprepared and unaspiring and uninspiring political leaders for public office. If Nigeria made that mistake they should realize that they stand to live with it as the public office holder stand to rigged his or her way for a second term making 8 years of political domination with oppressive style of governance. |
