The grammar they speak here isn't it. Many Nigerians are not good at English. 98% of naira land members are lame when it comes to English.

I swear, he holds a good command of English the same with Dino melaye, they know how to stitch words, also ojugwu's interviews, Soyinka. My dad was very good at joggling words, I lost him when I was too young and dumb. The man used to flog me because of bad choice of words, and my deep mother tongue interference sickened with my Igbo accent. Sometimes out of frustration he will say out loud " I am not your father, or you took your mother's gene". But what do I know? I was born in Onitsha, surrounded by rich illiterates and poor ones as well, the only thing I though of; is to play "FOUR MEN POST" with my kporikpo football. The day reallity dawn on me, I didn't see him to coach me

If it is about spoken, you juat need to speak more and engage your conversations more in English. Writing is different. If you don't mind, my wife and I can talk to you more.

You dont have to! it is not your language. Worry more about how to speak your language fluently. Lots of English people cannot even spell, so why worry. Think more technically and scientifically....how electricity really works. how engines work. how electronics work. how come you can talk to someone far distant away. how come you and I can chat even though we are on the other side of the world. Many Russians, Asians and French don't speak English but look at amazing things they do.

Read books too that are written in English

The show has an extensive amount of vocabulary between the cast. The show centers around 5 guys who have an incredibly high IQ....Watching American or British movies in general will greatly improve your vocabulary, but the big bang theory is on another level. The level of grammar na something else, very well polished. You go google well well too. Give it a try if it won't be a burden for you.

Is is not better to keep silent when people suspect you are a fool . That way there is doubt rather than speak to confirm their suspicion.

Be proud of your mother tongue . That is all I have to say. Change that mentality that somehow English is higher or better.

If ever I became president . If I have a meeting with the British or American head of state God knows I will speak my own language and we will use an interpreter

Just have reasons to chat regularly with great English speakers. Make it natural and besides no stress yourself too much on it; It's a borrowed language. I would advise you to go for higher education in English taught programs. If you have a bachelor's degree, go for a master program in English speaking countries to have access to the native speakers, you would be better at speaking English seemlessly. Take this advice from someone that was very bad at English even after bachelor's degree but now having English language as the only convenient means of communication.
