China is really a threat to civilization. Western nations are not selling weapons to African leaders due to human rights abuse, but china is selling anything to African leaders as far as they can benefit |

Biko why do they have the need to annonce each time the military acquire new hardware, where is the element of surprise ...now the terrorist and their sponsors have an inventory of the number of tanks you just acquire... the Intelligence unit of the Military needs some flogging for allowing this kind of information to go out. 1 Like |

Brushstrokes20: Senseless comments everywhere... You hate for an individual shouldn't bring about lack of reasoning. He buys, he's gifting boko haram and bandits... He doesn't purchase, he has embezzled the money budgeted and he's pampering his boys... What kinda back and front thinkers do we have in this country yet we blame leadership when same reflects in followers. We will get there someday, if others had done same by now we would have enough to confront these monsters wether they be a product of previous government, or present government or future government. 1 Like |

Tucano fighter from US is not trending again? The fools here are the so called soldiers. When the terrorists capture you they kill you but when you capture them they're rehabilitated and some sent abroad. Naija soldiers are the greatest losers here. |

We were recently told that the Nigerian army is a “paper tiger”. One begins to wonder why these equipments need to be displayed especially with the inability of the military to either “technically, emotionally or physically” defeat “bandits” and “terrorists”. With the news that boko haram and bandits possess large swaths of land in the north, do we need to argue over those two words “paper tiger”? Can any one section or group of people attempt to overrun certain communities, cities or states in the USA, China, Europe, UK, or Russia? Looking at this lingering issue of terrorism and banditry dispassionately, one cannot but question why it has taken so long, especially with the promises given in 2015, to wipe out the so called bandits and terrorists in the north of this country. Many years ago we were told of how the infantry of the Nigerian army was among the best in the world. Without doubt we can see over the years the problem of the military getting involved in the political leadership in this country. Looking at it critically one cannot but agree that the strength and character of the Nigerian military has been depleted by themselves and politicians with their involvement in ruling this country. Some of our greedy politicians and senior military personnel have chosen to corner large sums of monies which should have been used to advance the course of our military. Can we not safely say that our military as it presently stands, should be rated among the weakest in the world? If boko haram cannot be defeated and the so called bandits cannot be rooted out of the forests by the military and paramilitary, what then forms the basis for our boasting? Why should we be celebrating these equipments when very soon we will hear that boko haram has taken over them? The ones not taken over by boko haram and bandits will not be serviced for optimum performance. The operators too will be charged for deserting, when they complain that their allowances are not paid. Do our leaders truly want this country to remain as one? Why won’t they stop their acts of wickedness and allow this country move forward? When we heard the words “next level”, we thought they meant “moving forward”. Can we say that we are moving forward? We have been told to pray time and again. The developed countries, did they not possess integrity along with prayer to make their countries what they are today? We sincerely hope that things should get better as 2023 looks troubled already. |

As far are abundance of youths who are jobless, hopeless, nobody to direct. The idea of fighting Terrorism, banditry and separatism in this country with sophisticated weapons will be fruitless. If they like they should buy all US and Russian weapons, it won't stop all these. Someone who doesn't have a reason to live for won't care. Reduce defence spending by half, use half towards truthful and wholistic eradication of abject poverty in this country for the next five years, let's see how terrorism, banditry and separatism will not all but eliminated. Bunch of Idiots |
