Due to the financial crisis, my degree has not been used since WES evaluated it in March 2019. My WES account is active; should I begin by reevaluating my degree? I received my M.Sc. last year, and according to IRCC policy, the validity of an ECA report is limited to five years. please I need advice. |

RFV 🎊🎉 Blasting "Talk and Do" by Limoblaze RFV landed 216days Post-AOR, 143days post-sending spouse documents, same month OINP came through a year ago. All i can say is that my daddy na talk and do. This journey started since 2020, spend days and night reading nairaland thread as daily devotion. First IELTS: Jan 2021, thanks to Wassney (Wassiu) ielts tutorial. Had the perfect and above crs score for ITA in dec/Jan 2020/2021.( IRCC just decided to stop draw) well, that was how i could not meet up with the high crs score when fsw draws later resumed in 2022 or so. Lost point to age and was partly about to give up on the journey, started thinking about school route. Didn't have money for UK school nor do I like UK before. To complicate the matter all schools I applied to in US served me stylish and silent breakfast. Not like I was insterested in school again then, just wanted out of here. ( now I am interested in research tho. Machine Learning/Deep learning or Natural Language Processing research) Sept 2022: took new ielts as previous one was about getting expired, but listening "happened" to me as i had 7 in it. spend just a week sulking over it before i resume preparation again. Jan 2023: third IELTS, almost maxed all, speaking did strong head. Mar 2023: OINP NOI came in and there was hope for the journey again. July 2023: First medical Aug 2023: OINP Nomination, ITA, AOR (my VOs was vancover) Sept 2023: Biometrics, missed first appointment as i was held in epe traffic while coming from IB. Got to Ajah and took the next available bus back to IB. Didnt even bother trying to get the VFS. Got another appointment day 2 days later. Later gave biometric and was researching about our to add my spouse. Oct 2023 : Did our wedding in october and sent all documents needed for spouse addition on october 31st. That was where the long silence begin. Called, raised webforms, they keep saying make i no worry, say things dey under control. Nov 2023 : Still the silence Dec 2023 : Randomly enter GC key and saw final decision on my profile when spouse hasn't been added yet. Series of calling and webforms begin again. one of the agents who was patients enough laster assumed the omission error happened when my file was been transferred to another VO. Jan 2024 : Spouse hasn't been added. Feb 2024 : Spouse was added, she gave her biometrics and medical few days later. I was also sent remedical (which i did mistake using qlife. They waited for almost 1o days before sending the result to IRCC) March 21, 2024: I have been praying for swift RFV, even wished it land before my wife birthday on 19th, but nothing. Saw a no reply email this evening and i was seriously praying it shouldnt be due to POF or anything. People of God, its the golden mail. I want to appreciate the admin of this group specially. Thank you all for all your help 17 Likes |

BiyiTudors: BiyiTudors: Brother! Your CRS must be very high for you to be considering declining your NOI. Pls go ahead and edit your names properly on your EE profile - page 1 FAQ 26 pls. An edit that does not involve a change in your CRS or NOC should not impact the NOI IMO. 5 Likes |

MayorOfEdmonton: Thank you for your reply. I copied this from IRCC page. ''JOB REQUIREMENTS Medical Laboratory Assistant in Canada Summary Find out what you typically need to work as a medical laboratory assistant in Canada. These requirements are applicable to all Medical laboratory technicians and pathologists' assistants (NOC 33101). Employment requirements This is what you typically need for the job. Medical laboratory assistants and related technical workers require completion of a college certificate program in medical laboratory science. Certification by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science is usually required by employers''.[/font] Does this disqualify me because my BSC is in biochemistry and my masters is in Biotechnology? |

zeb04: Sister! My advice is that you study the whole of page 1. After reading come back and ask anything you are confused about and the good people here will assist. But make sure say you don already study wella....make the seniors no begin vex. The summary is that if your job duties match an NOC e.g. 12345 (na example o) then you are good to go with that NOC, provided you can get a ref letter from your employer that fits exactly what IRCC wants to see (for that one...see page 1 post 5). Job duties is the koko your job title and degrees are irrelevant. If you are targeting CBD, remember that the CBD NOC in your profile must be work experience from the last 3 years. You may get the ITA (not sure how the system is configured) but if the VO assessing your app sees that the work na from more than 3 years ago....I no know wetin fit happen. If no be CBD, then work experience from the last 10 years works for regular FSW. Na there my understanding reach. Go to page 1 post 3 and read up on the section that has this...and FAQ 14 to 16 too.... Work experience does NOT need to match education/degree for FSW. FSW work experience is not about what you studied as a degree, but what you do/did in your job e.g. an engineering graduate working as a barber must choose the NOC for barbers not engineers. |

In my early days of pursuing EE. I read a PPR story here...part 5...that highlighted to me the importance of reading and research. https://www.nairaland.com/4657743/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/327#71552587 The babe believe say EE no fit work for am, say na study route sure pass...it took her colleague highlighting that her law degree was equivalent to a masters CRS points wise for her to progress. I've seen people's apps rejected for small/minor things like PCC obtained before leaving one's former country of residence or ECA done was not for immigration. The one wey dey pain pass na lost opportunities...like when someone misinforms a prospective applicant that their work and education must match. Or that your NOC must be for your current job......Or that if your POF no complete for 6 months no even bother to apply! Anyway sha...wetin I wan talk be say make we dey try dey study small. #StudyPage1 #RamblingsOfAPR 7 Likes |

Ayolayemi:Will you be able to attempt the french exam boost your score ? With IRCC applying as a couple can swing either way. If you have similar profiles it can boost your scores. But if your profiles are different (one with a masters degree and the other with a diploma) it could reduce the scores. |
