Sam the senseless illiterate Omatseye with no home training's article and all the ACN almajiri's have been blaming HID for Tribune's supposedly partisan leanings? So when you point one finger, the remaining four are pointing back at you. It is only reasonable to say the same of Tinubu. This is a case of giving a dog a bad name to kill it. Tinubu owns the Nation, and as you can see from Tribune's expose, he has come to them to bribe them under the cover of darkness, which they refused. If he cant dictate he must destroy. Is this the democracy ACN is selling us?

Awo is known to be fervent in the advancement of the Yoruba cause and you can be an Awoist by aligning with OBJ, Bode George, Omisore, OGD, Adedibu, Akala etc.

Omatseye was on point, Awo is not alive but we know what he cannot stand. Awo would have excommunicated Ebenezer babatope for the Abacha rendezvous, Awo would have reprimanded anyone who romanced with any of those PDP rogues

I agree with Omatseye on all counts even on his word usage

I guess Awo would have welcomed Tinubu and congratulated him for withdrawing N2B from lagos account in the name of advancing Yoruba cause

And Also, he would have "excommunicated" Bola Ige for writing PDP's constitution and serving in OBJ's government, since Awo did not serve Gowon.

And he would have "excommunicated" Ayo Adebanjo for the OGD rendezvous. And he would have "excommunicated" Soyinka and castigate him for his "rendezvous" with IBB

And, Tinubu is more Awo that HID Awolowo right? interesting!

Abiola would probably have disowned his daughter for joining forces with PDP, init?

PDP is bad because the people in PDP are bad. Gbenga Daniel is bad because he is in PDP, not because he started off in AD, not because he was the youth leader of UPN in his undergraduate years at UNILAG, not because he embodies all that we like about AWO and Awojobi. He is bad simply because his is in PDP?

Interesting!

Abacha's rule was anti democracy cos he benefitted from an annulled mandate and all Progressives stayed out of it.

Awo would have been a member of NADECO and instructed anyone to reject any poisoned chalice from Abacha but Babatope joined in the looting and r@pe on democracy and peoples mandate.

Tinubus company provides a service to lagos State and he gets paid for it, If you have a problem with it, Face those who gave him the contracts.

Bola Ige wrote a constitution for a political Party and Uncle Bola left it when he saw that the wolves have descended on the party Something Awo would have done.

Do you know how Ayo Adebanjo is perceived in the SW now, Can he even win elections in his backyard? What happened to those AD men? Can anyone point to any AD rep or even councillor in the whole SW? Thats how much value they have right now.

HID is an Awolowo doesnt necesarily mean she share the ideologies of Awo the only thing she shared was his bed.

Was Abiola ever an Awoist? If Abiola were to be Alive he would have been a PDP member.

PDP is bad and anyone in SW PDP is bad, What good can come out of a party that has Thug Obanikoro, Assasin Omisore, Irresponsible Akala, Murderer OGD, Ex convict Bode tewonde George, Amala Politics Adedibu and Father of b@5tards OBJ

Gowon was also anti-democracy. But Awolowo served to save the country. He served as the Finance minister when his expertise was needed. That is his greatest contribution to Nigeria, arguably of course.

Babatope is a progressive. Tai Solarin worked with IBB's government. And the last time i checked, Tai Solarin was a progressive, even more so that usurpers like Bola Tinubu.

Evil thrives when good people keep silent. Babatope by responding to the call of his nation would have been commended, not excommunicated, by Awo.

The lsit goes on, what about Jakande?

Awo would have been a member of NADECO and instructed anyone to reject any poisoned chalice from Abacha but Babatope joined in the looting and r@pe on democracy and peoples mandate.

The National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) was formed  by a broad coalition of Nigerian democrats, who called on the military government of Sani Abacha to step down in favor of the winner of the June 12, 1993 election, M. K. O. Abiola

Simply stated, it was a Pro-Abiola group, whether Awo would have joined is very very very debatable. We cant be that sure. We all know that Awo and Abiola werent on good terms.

Whether Awo would have accepted Tinubu's drug money is also up in the air. We just cant be sure. The notion that Awo would have joined NADECO is at best speculation, and nothing more that mere conjecture.

Tinubus company provides a service to lagos State and he gets paid for it, If you have a problem with it, Face those who  gave him the contracts.

Maybe. But is it on a quid pro quo basis? The issue here is involves reconciling his values and actions WRT to his well crafted public image. Its all about the principle. Or have we suddenly become less principled as a people because of money?

Bola Ige wrote a constitution for a political Party and Uncle Bola left it when he saw that the wolves have descended on the party Something Awo would have done.

Not really.  Bola Ige wrote the PDP constitution because he was asked to. He left with Pa Adesanya to ANPP because they were under the impression that plans had already been concluded to make Ekwueme President, something Bola Ige was against. Bola ige wanted to be the president. Bola ige left for his own selfish interest, not because he didnt like the characters of the major players in PDP then.

Do you know how Ayo Adebanjo is perceived in the SW now, Can he even win elections in his backyard? What happened to those AD men? Can anyone point to any AD rep or even councillor in the whole SW? Thats how much value they have right now.

It really doesnt matter how he is perceived. The point is that Ayo Adebanjo is an Awoist. Period. Bola Ige was disgraced right there in the middle of Enuwa at Ooni's palace. We can also argue that Ifes/Yorubas did not like Ige. which would be 'untrue'. Perception is perception, not representative of reality.

HID is an Awolowo doesnt necesarily mean she share the ideologies of Awo the only thing she shared was his bed.

Well, from what we know, HID is the closest thing we have to Awolowo.  Awolowo's most successful protege was/is Bola Ige and when Bola Ige aligned with YCE ( remember the much publiced D'Rovans saga), HID was on hand to lend her support. If Bola Ige = Awolowo, HID = Bola Ige, then it only makes sense to conclude that  Awo = HID= Bola Ige

Was Abiola ever an Awoist? If Abiola were to be Alive he would have been a PDP member.

No No No. Abiola contested on the SDP platform. SDP = Social Democratic Party.

Emphasis on the Social and Democratic parts of SDP. AWO was a Welfarist Capitalist

Whether Abiola would have joined the PDP is questionable. We just dont know.  Abiola wa an idealist/trained accountant, he believed in the power of the market, no doubt, but then he came from a big family, a poor one for that matter, hence his socialist leaning.

From what we know of him, he probably would have associated with Bola Ige, since Bola ige is a Social Democrat, just like Soyinka. This is all confusing, I know. I hope you get my point .To successfully Analyze which party Awo, and Abiola, would have joined in the present dispensation, requires an intellectual operation of immense dialectical skills.

Lets just say, you did not mean to say that. I will let it pass.

That is something you'd expect from, say, Ileke, not you. I am sure you know more than that!

These disgruntled.elements still spewing their rubbish. It really doesn't matter anyway, the people of the SW spoke with their votes and they picked Tinubu and the CAN so HID, her news paper and her PDP benefactors can yell as much as they want. There is a new oder and reality in the SW and its Tinubu and the ACN. Live with it.
