Change your title to

A MAP

and not

THE MAP

There were hundreds of maps and no Google. Maps were private property in French, English , Spanish , Portuguese etc
Neither Jehovah nor Allah sent any map

Don't mistake people coming to Lagos for consular services and business men coming to clear goods from the ports because of the lopsided federal structure as people flocking to Yoruba land

Sad to see the Oyo country (like Ajayi Crowther always calls it) trapped in a pseudo geographical expression country like Nigeria.

That's not a map of the time its a diagram of perceived states from different points of time. 9/10 of these were states at all.

From your map, there was no Yoruba in the 17th century. Also waht was representative of your tribe Oyo was landlocked too. wink Also, your map is actually fake because maps of that era is known by any cartographer or even common map readers. Great piece of information. It's getting interesting being Igbo these days. Archeology and ancient writings are revealing a lot about a great people. For those who find us strange, note that the Igbo had states and not state, about 45 to 50 of them. A great people. We are so distrusting of power that we do not want it entrusted in the hands of one man. The United States of America of today are modeled after the 50 Igbo States. Ours though had more independence. It confounded the Whiteman. Conquer Oyo and you have taken the whole of today's Yoruba people but then Yaribanza according to the Hausas. In the case of the Igbo conquer Owerri, prepare to fight Orlu, conquer Orlu get ready to fight Ihiala, conquer Ihiala, prepare for Nnewi, conquer Nnewi prepare for Igboukwu, and so on. Are these the people Buhari promised to deliver to you guys?

Consular services are not only in one location. You live in yorubaland and insult the people, the deepest sea port in the whole of Nigeria is yet to start operation, the dept of the water is more important than your statement .When it was was western nigeria ,did you not have eastern Nigeria?why id you not develop your own?you are land locked.

If you like build pots and ports all over Lagos, the day Nigeria restructures and embraces real federalism is the day Igbos will do away with the over hyped, congested, over patronised by FG capital .

Lagos is living and walking on the advantages of a lopsided federalism , there is no big deal about this God forsaken useless , good for nothing city.

That is a lie ,you are also against true federalism and cannot state clearly what you want to do ,you are responsible for unitary system,so they dont correlate. The reason Azikwe aligned with the north was because of pure jealousy .the first person to make a statement that lagos was no mans land was an igbo man ,why did he say such ?ask yourself

Map of West Africa in 1600

This is the source I got it from

If you wail from today to tomorrow, nothing will change the fact on ground.

Unless there is a valid record of Arochukwu or any other igbo clan going to war with any coastal area and defeating them in war before 1923, then igbo land only start and end in the South East Geopolitical Region of Nigeria.

When you guys are ready for Biafla, referendum will be conducted in the Old East Central State that is presently made up of Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi.

No wailing by anybody will change the facts on ground.

You have small land area and you will need others to survive ,so you are just dreaming ,the whole area where you have your states is just 28,000 square meters ,do you know what that implies ?

What i am trying to tell you is that there is nothing about Lagos . Lagos became prominent because of decree 6 which ordered all oil companies to move their headquarters to Lagos after the civil war, this is the biggest scam and robbery of the 20th century. Lagos is a glorified product of scam and lopsided federal structure . Nothing else

Even the Map did not say that Igbos were landlocked, the map showed Igbo heartland and the established people as at then, as you can see areas like Ijaw, Ogoni, Isoko, etc was not identified in the map, those were established people of that era, it do show that Igbo is older than even the Yoruba ethnicity, we had always been Igbo but look at Oyo, so you see the coastal area had always been a melting port, And Igbos are part of that melting pot that's why it was not designated
What do you mean by "Igbo is older than Yoruba ethnicity"?
