Nchenches: But before the civil war it was fine that Ibo men were appointed as first indigenous VC over and above the head of more experienced Yoruba professors of University of Ibadan and Lagos, both in Yorubaland. Nnamdi Azikiwe was even dragging the first Premier seat over the heads of Yoruba sons and daughters while you all clapped for him. When he failed Zik and most ibos became bitter that Yoruba did not allow ibo rule over them. And you all feel this is justifiable. While Yoruba makes effort to treat you as human to be accommodated, Ibos view Yorubaland as conquered territory where they can do as they please. Only a foolish Yoruba will shed a tear for the political Cul de sac Ibos have found themselves. 3 Likes |

[quote author=Ovamboland post=109297737] Where was this agreed before the outcome of the party primaries? Who and who attended the meeting where this was agreed and why did non Yoruba aspirants contest the primaries if this agreement existed? Are you already resigned to fate that SE aspirants can never defeat aspirants from other parts of the country? Do you think such aspirants deserve the presidency?[q] Give me a name of those who contested primary 1 Like |
