First, i like to start by saying congratulations. However, if it is for career progression, I do not think you have helped your self. I know alot of people have reacted to this post with very little knowledge about the field of biomedical sciences. 1. You deliberately concealed facts and that's not good. You are trained as a medical laboratory technician and as such possess an MLT certificate with 2.2. You are also registered as an MLT with MLSCN. However, you have gone to secure a master degree in the field of Biomedical sciences when you should have pursued a degree.
2. Do you honestly think, that you have received enough lessons in Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, and all other medical laboratory course? To warrant you to jump to masters degree in the UK? A certificate course as a technician in medical laboratory is different from a 4 year degree in medical laboratory science.
Do you also know that as a master student you specialise in a more narrower area. In fact from most of our university at degree levels, you would have chosen your path and specialise before graduation writing your professional exams in those areas you have chosen to specialise like Chemical pathology, Hematology and blood transfusion, Medical Microbiology, and Histopathology. Which area have you specialised in?
3. Have you heard of HCPC in the UK. This is the body that licences you to practice as a biomedical scientist in the UK. And without a Bmls degree from an accredited university, you can't even register as an HCPC professional let alone practice as a biomedical scientist in the UK.
4. I don't know who you consulted before taking that decision but you would have been better off with a degree in Biomedical science than this height you have gone.
All thesame, Good luck.
Exactly I have been thinking in same direction. How is she going to practice with hcpc registration based on not having the necessary B.Sc in MLS foundation. Hcpc will require her to contact MLSCN for clearance based on what her previous HOD will fill on hcpc course form here in Nigeria and also her previous place of work in Nigeria will also has to comment. I think jumping from MLT to M.Sc may be the greatest mistake, it's better to follow the stepwise progression to avoid potholes. Just thinking out. Well she can still keep moving all na japa mood. grin

Hello gurus,
I have been a silent reader for some time now. I will need advice from gurus in the house about these issues.
I applied for Italian study visa (2017, 2018 DIY),(2019 agent). 2017 and 2018 I was denied base on insufficient documentation, in 2019 I was rejected based on forged bank statement by my agent.

Right now have made up my mind to try UK with my personal bank statement.

What are my chances of getting the visa base on my record on my Italia study visa application

Will I have to declare all these rejections with the reasons or without reasons during the application.

Don't worry if your study Gap is below 5 years is NOT accurate because they request for NSF for 4 years study gap, I didn't say you need to be worried but you just have to be prepared. Someone Graduated in November 2018 and they request for NSF, Attached is the proof.

My study gap is 4 years and I’ve been running my own business no cac

Let me correct you on this. You cannot have OND and be a registered medical lab scientist. You must graduate with a BSc to be a medical
Lab scientist.
Maybe this person studied science lab tech which is different.
The UK take other science based courses for Biomedical science not only medical lab scientist.

babey543:

They gave her admission because she is a Registered professional with Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria

If you are a registered nurse and you went to the college of nursing, you will still gain Masters of Nursing admission directly.

Experience matters and being certified as a registered professional shows prowess and competence .

Not all these theoretical people we have in Nigeria who arent competent and are unemployable.

God bless you for this. The other person was just assuming lol
She is a Medical lab technician and there is nothing wrong with that but she is not a scientist.
I am already registered with HCPC in the uk as a BMS because I am a medical lab scientist here in Nigeria.
Congratulations to her.

Good evening Duchess90 and other people of good heart. Please a friend is in a situation at the moment. Hers is a family of 4. In the course of filling visa forms and paying for IHS, they mistakenly picked Ikeja TLS for one dependant instead of VI which they intend having their Biometric. They now have 3 at VI TLS while one in Ikeja TLS. They could have cancel that of Ikeja and wait for refund while they do fresh application for that Dependant but they don't have more money to do so. please what's the advice for them? What should they do please?

Two options. First is going to tls ikeja to ask if the person can do a walk in with them in ikeja secondly is let the VI person go VI. Visa officer wants to look at the application not place of application. Ensure all documents that will support the visa are uploaded and a small write up should be written regarding this honest mistake quoting all the gwf of other applicants so the VO can be aware. Just my own opinion. Others may have better one but cancelling is not a good option tbh

Now this comment is everything!!!!!!! The below emboldened refers. It sends mixed messages when just the OND and 4 years of experience is credited as the sole underlying reason for the offer of a place on a UK Masters programme which is erroneous. There is just no basis at all to draw a parallel between the Nigerian Education System at OND level and the British Education System at NQF level 7 . They are light years apart! There are impressionable people following this thread, let's be guided as sharing experiences requires a very high level of accountability.

Unfortunately there's nothing they can do

They either keep the biometrics as they are or cancel the one for the dependant at Ikeja and wait for a refund

Hello

First you need to confirm if you were banned after being caught using a fake bank statement

You have to declare your ban/refusal whichever the case may be and give reason why in the relevant section and you have to be honest

The probability of getting a visa is not up to us but the ECO, if you have a ban I may advise to serve your ban appropriately before applying for a visa.

My opinion anyway

Cheers

At the moment you shouldn't worry about study gap since it is just 4years.

If you so get an NSF please submit your business registration and tax documents (meaning you have to get it registered)

Hello

You can't get an appointment in a different TLS and show up in another TLS with a cover letter stating an error.

It doesn't work that way.I also know there is a declaration confirming you will be attending the appointment before the TLS selections made.

There are rules for a purpose in this case cover letter doesn't suffice

TLS employees won't even let you show up for an appointment with a different TLS location booked

@the bolded everyone knows that already

Please how do I know if have been banned or not and on the contrarily, the rejection letter didn’t state a ban but only state a rejection with the reason and an option to appeal.

Good morning house,

I just got a conditional offer from university of Sunderland.

Conditions
Subject to evidence of being taught and assessed in English language at degree level and a deposit payment to the University of Sunderland for £3,500.

I am surprised at the evidence of being taught in English, as I uploaded my IELTS result. Can I write to the school for that condition to be waived? I cannot get any evidence of being taught in English right now because of the ongoing strike.

Also, this admission is for October 2022. Can I meet up? The Form A will be initiated on Monday. Also, their response time is very slow.

Also, does University of Sunderland require POF and TB test before issuing CAS?

There is absolutely no need for this. Their Passport has 9 months validity given the April 2023 they wrote and the Uk does not work with 6 months validity at all. He or she can channel their energy into more pressing matters than running up and down in Lagos or outside Lagos .

You are right and I didn't say she can't apply on the passport. I was only suggesting renewal here before applying based on time frame. She said January resumption, so my advice was for if they know they won't be applying early enough.

1. Either resend your WAEC results + PIN for them to confirm the result by themselves or get a letter of English Language Proficiency from your school.

2. This August might be the deadline for receiving payment, to be on a safer side, pay with black market.

3. I'm not sure.

You will be given your uk student visa if you apply, all you need to do is to be honest with your refusals from other countries and if there's a ban in Italy it doesn't affect your uk visa. Just no lies.

The CAS request and deposit payment deadline for the September 2022 intake for students who have met the conditions of their offer and whose CAS deposit funds have either already been paid to the University, or have been debited from their accounts, will be midnight on Monday 15 August. CAS requests received after the above deadline will not be processed.

The above deadline is subject to change to take into account application and visa processing times...

@Duchess90 and other gurus, i got this from the school's website,
does it mean that if I have been debited but school have not confirmed the payment, won't they accept the payment after the deadline?
