Owerri is indeed the Las Vegas of Africa.
I will really wanna invest in the hospitalit industry. Prob a low cost enternment resort. Sure it will really do well

Last time I visited Imo via Otown, I saw massive installation of cantilever street ligth all over the streets of owerri and it really looked good. I will love to see some recent pic of those street lights.

tourism and hospitality is one of the biggest industry in d world. Las Vegas make far money in it than Nigeria can make In the oil and gas industry.
Though it will take a little while before owerri will start raking huge amount from same. It take patience and consistency to get there

If I may ask what scores can you give both Rochas and Ameachi in terms of performance?
Also Rochas has been owing workers salary. To me there's no excuse for that.

it is very difficult to compare both because rivers is way richer. however, both of them have similar style though rochas is way flamboyant while amaechi prefere to be much more reserved. checkout both performance in education, health, infrastructure, etc....they often set a target and work to beat it. do you know that IMO state is the only state that tertiary education is free. the States government pay as much as N100,000 per students per year to implement the free education scheme. forget the exaggeration of rochas owing salaries it is just been blown out of proportion

rochas did very well as a governor not even the statue saga will take away that from his sterling performance as a governor. that said, I will personally want a person like amaechi to rule this country he will step on so many big toes just as he did in rivers state.,.....he was literally a one man riot that's why all the political big wiegth in rivers hate him and that's the secret of his second to none performance in rivers state. over 70% of rivers state public infrastructure was done by him

Rochas though not perfect has been impressive. Imo is not a very rich state but the governor has been able to develop the state with the little resources at his disposal.

traveled to Owerri three weeks ago and I must confess I saw mini Las Vegas springing up_____New bridges, Roads, Tunnels, canti street light, more Entertainment edifice like hotels, pleasure pack, recreational centers, casinos, etc. And I was like wow!

Love hospitality industry and it quite a multi billion dollars industrial that has made many cities around the world like Paris, Las Vegas, etc.
Get to the states and you would always want to see Vegas and I would want same for my dear Beautiful owerri. I simply love the current developmental drive of the city towards hospitality especially the current administration effort towards same. Going by this pace I think we can achieve it in no distance time

There are many Automation training institutes in india that claim to teach automation and control with the best of laboratory and qualified teachers but are not better that our computer training institutes that charge big cash to learn MS office but teach nothing.
This article is born out of many complains and regret that i have heard from my friends and from the friends of my friends who has travelled to india for a quality and practical training in automation but meet only theoretical training instead. I felt for them because i was almost a victim but survive mine(i refuse to pay complete cash till i meet with fellow Nigeria in the accommodation, hence having enough cash to run others training within india).
However, from the best of my knowledge and experience in india, i can only recommend 2 automation training institutes that are good in automation. the others are scam institutes although many Nigerians have attended most of the other ones but i know they are not happy with what they meet on ground neither are they happy with the accommodation that was offered to them.
www.smeclabs.com is one of the good schools in indian that has a seperate course for Industrial Automaton and Instrumentation.
www.excelautomation.com is another good school in indian that has many tailored courese in automation, although they have some of the field instruments such as HART communicator and transmitters to play around with but they do not have a full lab for instrumentation.
if you have cash then add yokogawa DCS training and prosafe training to you catalog. the yokogawa training institute is in Chennai and Banglore State of india.

Please stick to the above two schools and avoid any other automation institute you google out from the internet, they will tell you whatever you want to hear but your eyez will clear you when you fly to indian. they will collect your enrollment cash immediately you get to the school even if its 2am you get to india without allowing to see fellow Nigerians in the accommodation to guide your choice of course then you will be sent to an accommodation that will make you feel bad that is when it will down on you that you have been scammed.

hehe, most of these Indian institutes are just glorified IT centers that does nothing but teach you just the basic programming without the nity gritty of automation and control philosophy. no really exposure to the core engineering background and hands on practice. Most of the good heads that advertise and sell those training centers are in the middle east working leaving behind trainers with little or no work experience and in most instance are still learning. I know this things because of my experience and barrage of people that I know that had the same experience. even some guys had to re enrol in automation training in Nigeria after they came because they feel that they have not really gotten what they want. We have some automation training centers in Nigeria that are far better than most in India with competent engineers as trainers. most companies that employs automation and instrument engineers does not normally care to know where you did what you did. what is actually paramount to them is the skill you have acquired
