Well, it's not about number of inventions but the benefits of inventions created. E.g. Anesthesia. Without Anesthesia surgery today will be like a horror movie..you can invent things many people don't even need.

Besides America outsources foreign brains for their inventions that's what they are good at to keep them ontop.

That's why not too long ago a leader in the DOD said they needed Iranian scientists because they are more intelligent in nuclear science.

Fact the bulk of the Technology used on the ISS is Russian based on the MIR Soviet space station built in 1986 and decommissioned in 2001. It was the first of its kind(modular). America at the time had no functional space station and in fact their Skylab Stations which ceased operations in the 70's had limited operating time before decommissioning. Lacking the technical knowledge to build a modular space station they invited Russia and other countries to participate in their new space programme.
As the country with the most experience and tech in space technology Russia provided the bulk of the technical know how that is why there are two sections till date- The Russian section used by Russia alone and the American section used by America, the EU and Japan.

I hope that you know that prior to Musk's Space x which made its first launches last year America had no way of sending astronauts to space without using Russian rockets? Even there current Programme is based on Russian rockets hence the ban by Russia.
Furthermore till date the bulk of satellites sent to space by America and the West use Russian rockets.

russia never pitied anyone. Russia did not share the international space station. It was built by 16 counties. Anyway if you think the ISS belongs to your dear Russia how come they cant sanction the other countries

It was agreed that Russia should handle the guidance system while the US handles the power system as well as the systems that make the ISS habitable for the Astraunauts or Cosmonauts as the Russians would call it.

It is a synergy , no one system can work without the other , if the US pulls out their system there will be problem on the ISS same as the Russians . The aftermath is the ISS falling from space if any of the stem fails .

ISS is a synergy between nation and none of the nation involved has absolute control of the ISS, there is a reason it was split.

Predating the ISS, different space station though smaller have been operated by the Sovieta(Mir) and the Americans (SkyLab), each of these countries had absolute control of their systems. Both countries decided to have a synergy in space research and improve bi lateral relationship instead of the normal war rhetorics been churn out by them before.

My earlier response was to set the records for a missinformation by someone who asserted that Russia will kick the US out of the ISS without him knowing how the ISS came about in the first place

. yes you are correct that the guidance sytem is operated by the Russians but other syatwms are operated by the US. None of these works in isolation.

There is actually Chinese hype. And I don't believe they have as much talent or ingenuity as the claim to have or have achieved. But credit to them because they're literally on steroids as far as production is concerned. They're more disciplined than the west to some extent.

I disagree with you on the last fact you stated. In terms of research output. Science universities like MIT, Cornell and Stanford top the world. They don't just get media hype the way things like Facebook and TikTok innovation get. If you want to see their work, start following websites like New scientist.com You'll be surprised at the level of innovation you'll see.

Most of ISS parts were built in the US.

As for the use of Russian rockets to send astronauts to ISS. you're right but remember that it was because the Space shuttle used prior to that was retired because it was aging. So it was a logistic issue not because America was too dumb to have their own rockets.
