Update from SIGGY .ng

A 22-year-old student, Rabiat Yetunde Garba, Studying Chemistry and Integrated Science at the College Of Education, Ilorin has gone missing, Siggy reports.

It was gathered that Rabiat, who is living in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State had left her parents’ residence around Adabata, Ilorin, to school on Thursday, March 17.

She was said to have got to the lecture hall, but upon realizing that she forgot her assignment at home, she dropped her bag with her friends and rushed home to get the assignment.

That was the last time they heard from her.

Speaking to Punch on Monday, March 21, her father Abdullahi Garba, said that efforts to locate her proved abortive.

“She usually goes to school from home. So, she left home for school that morning, and normally, she would return around 5pm,” he explained.

“But when we didn’t see her, we thought maybe they had a special assignment in school, so we waited till 6.30pm and started thinking about what could have happened. She hardly goes out and does not return home late.

“We were still expecting her till around 9pm. But when we didn’t see her, we realised something must have happened. We alerted people around us that we had not seen her and her number could not go through because her phone was faulty and she had dropped it with a phone repairer.”

The aggrieved father, while urging the government and the police authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, said the matter had been reported at the Surulere Police Station.

“We have been praying for her safe return. She went missing last Thursday and we have yet to get any development from the police. I want the government and the police to help us find her and arrest those involved in her disappearance,” he added.

People just go missing any how In this country. It is like the country is swallowing people and the most painful thing is that nobody at the top is taking it seriously. I was telling someone that the amount of ritual killer and kidnapping news we see online is getting to much, what of the one we don't hear about, those that get away with the crime

I pray she is found but considering the circumstances that she hurriedly went to get her assignments but never got home, the chances are slim.

Some of you here have encouraged females being used for rituals in one way or the other because you think females are not human beings and are lower species right below the dogs.
I remember the period when every story of a female being killed for rituals was a cause for celebration on nairaland with the most devilish and wicked comments being posted with glee against the victim yet a dog being slaughtered for food was mourned with talks of "cruelty to animals".

For every one who has killed every ritual victim the second time by casting aspersions on thier memory and insinuating they deserve to be brutally murdered, may this monsters you have created in your own way come visiting your households. Amen!
