Because some people insult our efforts and time.

I want to make sure you are not one of them.

I think at a time when we are talking about blasphemy and tolerance we should revisit this thread,
The owners of Nairaland should consider and reconsider their legal liability in giving preferential treatment to Muslims

I'm Yoruba but a devoted Muslim. This voodoo that this man promotes is what I don't like about Yoruba people. Don't be surprised he might be the babalawo of the Dangotes and Otedolas cos Ooni is so inclined in juju practise and he must be the leader and chief priest of many yoruba occults
Is this blasphemous?? Should we behead you? Should we stone and roast like your brethren in Sokoto

Think deeply before you talk.

If you want respect give it do not be a hypocrite

What you won't accept do not offer
You have to learn to respect other people's beliefs >Some too do not like your blue kettles, and violent disposition in some places.

If you cannot say some thing good. Keep quiet

PAGAN9JA:
The Ooni of Ife, H.R.H Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II) took to his official facebook handle with a message on the Yoruba Isese festival of Olókun.

"Today, I honour and pay obeisance to Olokun, the deity of wealth and salt alongside millions of Oduduwa descendants as we celebrate the Olokun festival. We must keep up with the magnificent age-old tradition that our forefathers bequeathed to us, safeguarding the historical, social, spiritual, and predominant modern values of the deity of Olokun. Indeed, she is the embodiment of boundless seasoning, purity, and faithfulness.
_
As embodied knowledge, Olokun is both a historical source of life and a deity associated with wealth, prosperity, and abundance. She is a symbol of infinity and abundance. All the bodies of water agreed to flow to the goodness of the sea, and Olokun personifies their prominence and remains the headship of them all. We must remember that the supreme owner of the universe is God Almighty who created all and we must continue to honour all the works of his hands. Incontrovertibly, that’s our ultimate creed from the source of mankind, Ile-Ife.
_
The Olokun festival commemorates the bond that exists between us and our forefathers. The celebration serves as a reminder of our forefathers' sacrifices, ancient contributions, and realities that we inherited from them. It therefore endears us to share in their vision, immortalize their history, celebrate our ancestors' accomplishments, and record their previous challenges for the generations ahead.
_
As Arole Oduduwa, I use the great fortune of this day to pray for abundance for you in all the essence of life that comes from Olokun. May your silent prayers and sincere aspirations be granted. Happy Olokun festival.
"

There's NOTHING like "voodoo."
It is Vodun or in Haiti it is called Vodou.

Voodoo is a fake Hollywood movie creation adapted from a fictional novel which potrayed Haitians and their religion in bad light after the gallant Haitians brutally defeated the French oppressors in 1796 and
declared the first ever black republic.

NOTE:
Isese and the Yoruba religion existed long before Islam was introduced into Yorubaland from
Mali 500 years ago.

'Deji learn to respect others and
their beliefs. I see you're based in
Ilorin. As an Omoluabi and a member of the ummah you have to tolerate other Yorubas who belong to other faiths. Are you not aware that Yorubas also practice Eckankar, Buddhism, Grail Movement, Bahai as their faiths?

In the event that an over 50 million-strong Yoruba Republic kicks in, we have to be united, and with a tech-savvy Yoruba Diaspora and home-based population... The new Republic (from Lagos to Kwara and Okunland of Kogi to Ilajeland and
Itsekiriland, etc) will become a
First-world or advanced country
in a short time. Yorubaland will engage in space travel to the
moon and beyond.

Go to Brazil, Cuba,Venezuela, Trinidad, U.S.A, the Yoruba culture and religion is respected there.

Be wise bruv.

Cheers.
