ASUU is inconsiderate. They want to strike till elections and campaigns when they will use it against APC. Is it only ASUU that is on government payroll. Last time it was eight full months students were at home. Now, we don't know how long. This kind of thing cannot happen outside this country, where education is treated with so much levity and a lot don't care. The children of the rich are daily seeking admission abroad, while the poor suffer.
ASUU should do a rethink of its stance and resume negotiatons with the FG. Because if government decides to withhold their salary, it will not be funny anymore.
Government has already held their salary from March. The same government that sign agreement and don't honour it, see the state of our laboratories in the universities, I pity Nigerian students.

This is what happens when you give jobs to people who aren't bright.

The issues of IPPIS/payroll system has been on between Govt and ASUU for years now. The universities came up with their own home-grown solution as agreeed by both parties, and the next phase was for the Govt to take it, vet it and then roll it out for universities if everything was OK.

Why then is this man still babbling about IPPIS? Why is he walking back on a negotiated solution?

This Govt is insincere.

Is that a surprise?
A government led by someone who said that Abacha did not steal our money in 2008, one year after Obasanjo left office? Even though he worked with Abacha as the Petroleum Trust Fraud, PTF Chairman for five years? That was five years after he first applied for the job of president by appealing to Nigerians to forget his brutal, insincere military dictatorship past.

He was the worse of two bad options in 2015, and in 2019 propped up on propaganda and lies.

I don't really understand his stand as a minister in tackling issues partaining to education as that should be his primary work but I see him doing the opposite.
God will help us.
