Intelsat New Dawn is tested at 32.9 E

Intelsat New Dawn, a new communications satellite operator Intelsat began work on the orbital position of 32.9 ° E. Launched the first issue of TV channels in Ku-band - a package of channels UAU! TV in the DVB-S2.

As part of a package UAU! TV broadcast 14 TV channels, most of them are not coded, only a few encrypted in Videoguard (although new reports indicate most being coded now).

Intelsat New Dawn, owned by a venture between a consortium led by Convergence Partners of South Africa and Intelsat, was launched April 22 to replace Intelsat's Galaxy 11 satellite at 32.8° East. During initial maneuvers, the satellite's C-band antenna failed to deploy and remains in its launch configuration despite extensive tests and maneuvers. Intelsat will continue to take measures to free the antenna for the foreseeable future.

The issue with the C-band antennas has not had any impact on Intelsat New Dawn's Ku-band operations. Intelsat is working individually with customers to identify alternative C-band capacity that may be used to support their requirements.

Technical Data Package UAU! TV:
Intelsat New Dawn (32.9 ° E)
Frequency: 10.975 GHz
pol. H
SR: 30000
FEC: 9 / 10
DVB-S2/QPSK

Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Pidzo(m): 3:41pm On Jul 30, 2011
@Williams85
Muvi and AU have a low signal. Make sure you hit above 95% on Aljazeera and you will get the two. I have Muvi and AU at around 79% while Aljazeera is at 98%. Hope this helps.

You have left out a lot of parameters for people to ably assist you. You should tell people your location, type of receiver, type and size of dish, the satellite you are hunting (because you may be hunting ITV and Setanta on a wrong satellite), etc. Try to be clear bro.

Mine is at 4 or 5 oclock if you are in front of the dish. Try that or if it fails try 7 or 8 oclock. The other positions were giving me a low signal for Muvi.

Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by Pidzo(m): 8:33pm On Jul 30, 2011
@Newtonn
Sorry if my explanation will not be that clear, may be others will come in. Imagine you are standing in front of the dish. Look at it as if it's a clock. In your head put the hour numbers on the dish, 1, 2, 3 up to 12 the way they are arranged on a watch with hour hands. Now take it that when you point at 1 you are at 1 oclock, at 2 you are at 2 oclock, at 3 its 3 oclock up to 12. So, if the lnb knob is directly downwards you would say its at 6 oclock. If it is exactly up or there about you would say its 12 oclock and so on and so forth. I hope you get my 'difficult to comprehend' explanation. grin grin

I am in Owerri and with 2.4m net my Aljazeera is 88 to 90 at most however my Muvi tv is 74 and does not crack. My LNB is at 12 o'clock
Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by lovala(m): 10:50pm On Jul 30, 2011
Sorry, this is the clarification

1. First track w4/w7 using 12437H23437 btw 65 - 75%, then tight the dish. insert this frequency 10975H29998. Raise your dish a little bit up, u will hit green (make sure u hit 85% to 89%, that is New dawn (32.8degree east) for you. That is also your primary focus, tight your dish completely.

2. Take another LNB, place it directly on top of the new dawn, use this frequency: 12437H23437, twist the LNB to almost 9am facing the dish, u will hit green, adjust the LNB ti hit btw 60% and 68%. First use a good tape to hold them very tight. That w3/w7 for u.

3. Take the 3rd LNB, place it direct under New dawn, twist to almost 3pm clockwisely, use this freq: 12551H19531 or 12543V20800, start moving the LNB swinging it to the Right and left until u hit green. It is very easy.

Remember that, u only track w4/w7 first 4 u to track New dawn.

Remain blessed.
@petfun4u:
Thnkx for your clarification. But I still got some issues here.
If I get your explanation well then it will mean that you are hitting Intelsat NewDawn at an elevation above EW4/7 just like I did. But, what doesn’t sink in with me is the fact that you have to place your lnb for EW4/7 above that of Intelsat NewDawn creating the semblance of Intelsat Newdawn having an elevation below that of EW4/7. If it won’t be of much troublem to you then I’ll like some explanation to this occurrence.
