For ur dish size, u dont need any special lnb. Just get ur self a strong or pauxis lnb. I believe these two are the cheapest in the market.

gkw: for etv feeds from my experience its all about the lnb "skew", play around with it a lot

Lanceosas: any time ur decoder is upgrading through OTA,just put OFF ur reciver and remove ur LNB cable frm the back of ur decoder,after which put ON ur decoder and when it stop upgrading just put back ur LNB cable and u are good to go

simniboma: @ all using 4920, 4922, 4922A the software 118 solves the problem of 10% loss of quality reception. I uploaded it today and to my surprise realise reception level has increased from 85% to 93% and reception Quality from 72% to 82% on Astra 2F (Multi TV)there was also similar rise in reception on other satellite positions. Not convinced by what I realised I reloaded an older version and realised the fall in reception again.Will do a more detail analysis by weekend when I am free. Try it and confirm my story.

Cause i can scan in the channels alright but when i go to the actual channels the transponder just dies out. It is just red as if there are no channels or data on it. Can someone explain this to me.

I have also seen such funny channels. There are channels which I am able to detect at 70% quality when scanning and they are assigned a frequency by the decoder and saved, but when I go to the channel I find it is red. I found that such frequencies are different from the ones indicated for them on lyngsat. When I do a TP scan using the frequency from lyngsat I find I am able to catch and save the channel correctly and watch it. Again next time I do a blind scan the working frequency is replaced by the none working one. I have been wondering that maybe some frequencies of a certain modulation type are not detected correctly by strong decoders due to a software bug, but I havent identified the type of modulation yet. Maybe your multicast theory might be the explanation but I dont know anything about that.
