On a serious note, I have no issues with any kind of investment by any government as long as the investment is properly managed and skillfully diversified to prevent loses or continuous losses.

Seems Pandora only cared about his own tax-dodging $15 Million Pandora account money instead of the people's money he sank into an unprofitable business.

Pandora is obviously a very poor money manager besides his own Pandora money, he's also incompetent and negligent

If Nigeria as a Country is an investment since 1999, how much do you think the investment Nigeria will be worth in this 2022 APC government

You said bad investment, is the brewery not operating now to cause downward value of investment? Bad economists your calculations has k leg , the investment should be rising accordingly. You people are out to destroy Peter Obi . This is the handiwork of mischief makers .

This report is meaningless, this shows that the administration after OBI lack foresight, shares prices goes up and down, they should have been trading the stock but they left it lying fallow. Am sure the state must have received dividend from same stock in the past years.

Just to fact check again:.
The investment made a profit in Naira. But sufferred the same fate as all other businesses in Nigeria, inflicted by unfavorable Goverment policies and programs.
In summary, He gained in Naira but Depreciation of Naira robbed the investment of tangible value.

Don't be stupid! Naira depreciation against dollar caused it.

When he invested in the company. 1$ was 150 naira but now 1$ is now 630 naira. Can't you see the poor exchange rate cause it.

So many things from this investment news,

1. He believed I'm Nigeria and invested the money in Nigeria. He could have easily invested it abroad but the idea was to better the economy of Nigeria.

2. The APC guys managing the economy crumbled it because the share price of the company has gone down due to poor economic realities. Who to blame?? Those managing the present economy

3. Even Dagote share price, gtb share price and all other big companies share price have been on the decline.

In summary, Tinubu and atifku are thiefs. Obi made a good investment decision but Buhari and Osibanjo are clueless and has crumbled the economy of Nigeria

You are not smart at all. Even Dagote dey bear am with the bad economic policies of the evil gov't. Do u know how many investment that have left Nigeria just in a period of 7 years, not to talk of SME's that have died at an early stage just bcoz of how hard it is for investment to survive in this horrible economy. U made mention of Econet, goan do your fact finding about the foreign firm wella coz itz not different from the way MTN and the likes are extorting us and u will be quick to celebrate nonsense.

The shares value has doubled but it's not Peter Obi's fault that the value of naira has depreciated to a level that when converted to dollar, the investment sum is lower

How is 1.9 billion to 2.2 billion doubling? Its not even up to 20% growth in Naira terms.
Re: Peter Obi's $12.24m Investment In Breweries Now Worth $5.38m - TheCable by iyke2frankeze: 10:18pm On Jun 21, 2022
A very silly analysis. You calculated the value in dollar when dollar was 155 to Naira and recalculated same using 604 Naira per dollar. Is their any investment that remained the same in Nigeria by then when dollar was 155 Nsira and now when dollar is 604 Naira? Even Dangote's network decreased, same with Nigerian stock. He is neither Buhari nor CBN governor who messed up the value of the Naira.

Your point here hit the nail on the head.

The past 7 years has been horrible for the economy ever since Buhari started setting the exchange rate of the Naira in 2015.

That is why economic growth has been squalid. Before Buhari, economic growth averages 6% from 1999-2013. Under Buhari, it is barely 2%.
