I was reading your criticism but had to laugh @ the end.

Hotel is costly now - especially during the summer months and special seasons. Businesses are just increasing prices anyhow...some would say cuz of fuel has gone up.

hehe but you know even at that with all their excuses of fuel increase etc 400 a night is still very expensive for that type of hotel. Even the great Waldorf Astoria in New York City would not charge you 400 dollars a night and this particular hotel looks like a 3 star hotel or a 4 star at best and looks to be in the same class as the Howard Johnson chains . I mean look at the reception ? It’s just basic not grand. And so I wouldn’t pay more than 200 at most for that place but as OP has explained the 400 is a package deal including all the entertainment, maybe at night they have singers and dancers etc entertaining them etc

To each his opinion but I will never stay away from the strip...thats where the fun happens!!! I can manage in Downtown Fremont too but not outskirt. Although you have your car, I prefer to just walk around freely at the major highlights.

I live in Nigeria but have visited Las Vegas 4 times, stayed at MGM, Bally's, Aria and Stratosphere now called Strat.
I have reserved bookings for either Wynn/Encore when next I travel.

Enjoy your vacation, but if you can, take 2 nights on the strip and feel the difference.

Also that $400 seems quite high o, but I think its cause of the summer!

GAMBLING Fee attached to it.
SKYDIVING experience attached to it.
CRUISE SHIP & BOAT RIDE experience.
NELLY will be showing up on Saturday to perform live. Also part of it. We have boxing match, lightweight.... also part of it.
Then, I will be awarded about $400 on depature day in addition to $150 maintenance Fee.

Above all, you will automatically qualify for 5 days Free lodge having spent a week with them, which can be used whenever u visit Vegas again.
They do all these to ensure they have large turnovers of customers, they encourage one to keep visiting Vegas despite it scorching weather, most especially Californians.
Hotel is located within Vegas south, making it easier for Californians to lodge.
Visited TRUMP HOTEL, it wasn't as busy as ours.
Ours is like a VILLAGE! It's worth it.

Yesssss, I’m so glad saw this post. Two weeks ago I did a day trip to Sin City (Las Vegas nickname). I flew in and out the same day, I just wanted brunch and a relaxing day at the spa (Canyon Ranch is the largest spa in North America). It was a lit day trip!

Vegas is a short flight 45 minutes flight from Phoenix. So it was a easy in/out! Here are a few pics.

Rum distillery tour 2 miles from the Las Vegas strip, and the entrance to the Canyon Ranch Spa which is located at the Venetian (Palazzo sister resort next door) . Spa has a no cellphone zone, so no usage or pics inside, which I loved. It’s all about resting and relaxation.

I would love to see the ride your using for this road trip and what was the speed limit for the 5 hour journey?
I love to unleash my beast on road trips at times
