u mean the Airbnb's?

Na. I mean actual short-term apartment rentals.

Essentially serviced apartments, but without full-term tenants.

With regards to pricing, I've never understood the relative high cost of hotels in Nigeria. It's almost absurd when you compare rates and what you get with what is obtainable overseas. For instance, in the US, you could stay in a motel, low-cost hotel, or budget extended-stay lodgings for about or slightly higher than the going monthly rental rate for the same configuration. Which is handy in lots of scenarios, like when you move to a new city and haven't found an apartment/house to rent yet or you temporarily move out during a domestic crisis. In Nigeria, that is a pipedream.

Curiously, besides power, expenses are lower here PPP-wise. It's why everyone tries to build hotels. I'm exploring what it'd take to disrupt the market here like OYO did in India.

400 dollars per night ? na gold bars dem dey serve for breakfast ? thats 240 thousand naira you just wasted like that ? yeye man

Yea that's coming from a poor Man's mindset.

The ones in the diaspora don't convert to naira before they spend.

They earn dollars and as long as they're comfortable, they pay what's due for the service.

I pray God answers your prayer too and you'll understand.

Peace.

Emancipate yourself from oyibo slavery.. don't be colonized again, especially in your mind. Mental slavery is the worst. This is all I have to tell you.. shalom!

Wetin dey worry you nah. Someone is enjoying freedom in another country, something that he was deprived when h was in Naija and you're here disturbing his life. It's difficult to travel 5 hours in Naija without one form of harrasment or even getting kidnapped. You're here working almost 247 and you can hardly go on a good vacation and you're complaining about oyinbo slavery. Agbero, Tinubu, NEPA, Buhari, Loan sharks, police, army, Governors, senators and other politicians are here in Naija and you're complaining about slavery.

Las Vegas the Casino and Gambling capital of the world is one of the most dangerous city in the US, only Chicago and Detroit are ahead in terms of crime rate. It's better you wear a body armour when going for sight-seeing. Welcome to Sin City!

Even the most dangerous places in Las Vegas, Chicago, and Detroit are safer than some of the safest places in Nigeria. Many of us have been to Vegas many times and have never experienced any kind of violence. Monikers like you are why many of us abroad don’t post picture threads.

Thanks for correcting him. That moniker knows nothing about Vegas except what he sees on the internet. The question and the comment about Death Valley, apparently he doesn’t know it’s is a real place, was posted to disturb the thread and discourage people who hope to travel one day.
Abeg he should go back to praising Russia and let others enjoy.

Be careful o, it's unsafe country.

It’s safer than Nigeria. If Nigeria had a working system of collecting and reporting statistic, America would look like Disneyland.

Las Vegas Baby!!!!
Wifey and I went for vacation last year and it was an absolute blast. It was very hot but it's a dry heat so it wasn't that bad. We did all the touristy things.
There are so many things to do in Vegas, I don't even know where to start from.

@poster You should have stayed on the Strip cos that is where all the action is. Hope you don't mind d if I post a few pictures of my trip

I live in a very humid region of the US and I think I prefer the dry heat of Vegas also. Feels better than heat with humidity.

interesting and wise analysis. the property market here definitely needs disrupting and u could make a tonne of money doing it.

Airbnb is a disruption bt there is still more avenues for disruption. Lol

I was reading your criticism but had to laugh @ the end.

Hotel is costly now - especially during the summer months and special seasons. Businesses are just increasing prices anyhow...some would say cuz of fuel has gone up.

Yes it can. For shame, I think I can live without any other food but rice is my weakness. sad
My physician advised that if I must have it, I must eat it in the earlier part of the day.
