Secondly I am surprised that you feel so entitled. Please understand that no man gets anything if God doesn't give it to the person first. If the woman doesn't give it to you herself, some other people may do it if God decides to show you mercy. You didn't need to come out so bitter. Please remove bitterness from your heart and embrace the joy and peace of Christ.

While I understand that things are quite tough now, you must understand that everybody has his or her own responsibilities. Many trips you see people go for and post pictures here were planned well ahead.

With regards to pricing, I've never understood the relative high cost of hotels in Nigeria. It's almost absurd when you compare rates and what you get with what is obtainable overseas. For instance, in the US, you could stay in a motel, low-cost hotel, or budget extended-stay lodgings for about or slightly higher than the going monthly rental rate for the same configuration. Which is handy in lots of scenarios, like when you move to a new city and haven't found an apartment/house to rent yet or you temporarily move out during a domestic crisis. In Nigeria, that is a pipedream.

Curiously, besides power, expenses are lower here PPP-wise. It's why everyone tries to build hotels. I'm exploring what it'd take to disrupt the market here like OYO did in India.

The first bold: Demand and supply. Hotels/motels/guesthouses in Nigeria are patronised mostly for sexual escapades, unlike other places where tourists dominate as major patronisers. Economics of scale would greatly benefit the industry. Relative to the GDP size, tourists don't travel to the country unlike South Africa or even Namibia (see attached picture). So, the demand is low compared to the population size and economic output (GDP), so the industry has to depend on sugar daddies' patronage for survival.

Second bold: Not just power (high diesel prices have further contributed to the cost of providing power for their facilities) but punitive taxes and provision of security which their counterparts in other countries don't spend on or spend too much like those at home. Also, due to the dysfunctional system in Nigeria, hospitality outfits are trying to replicate some semblance of developed serenity for guests, something they can only get/experience in such establishments. Most Nigerians only get to experience 24-hour electricity when they lodge in hotels. This is not applicable in other countries.

You guys are absolutely amazing! I appreciate your sentiments and immediately addressing this bitter and disturbed person.

I’m all about positive vibes and energy, I love to see others doing well and living their best lives. I learned so much when kind people took the time out of their schedules to share their budgeting and best tips/tricks with me several years back.

I don’t get paid for my travels or paid to share content (at least not yet, lol). I do it because I genuinely care and want others to keep hope alive and know that their are still good people in the world willing to share tips and suggestions completely FREE, in exchange for nothing. Will that EPIC trip happen overnight? No. But with proper planning a budget-friendly vacation can be within anyone’s reach.

No judgement or hate on my trolls and haters, in fact it lets me know that they are thinking of me, lol!

Same here, I live in Arizona (desert and dry heat). I’ll take dry heat over humidity anytime. I visit Vegas at least twice a year, it’s such a fun city. I stay on the strip (Wynn or Encore) and it never gets old. I feel like a kid in a candy store when I see all the lights, glitz and glam of the city at night. I remember clubbing one night until 6a at Drais, watching the sun come up, followed by breakfast, and finally getting to bed at 8a. It was the best hangover and girls night out EVER! And what’s best is that me and my girls did again the next day, lol. Ahhhh, Vegas….the city that never sleeps!

Wow, you are just like me although I live in Nigeria and travel for vacations. I always make sure I go to Las vegas when im in the US. Usually my route is Abuja > Los angeles > Las Vegas and then to other states and then leave via NY or Dulles.

I would suggest you try Cosmopolitan and get a wrap around room since you can afford Wynn/Encore, you will definately enjoy Cosmo too.
Im addicted to Las Vegas and wish that our economy wasn't this damaged that travelling now is becoming an extreme luxury.
