Hello Everyone,

Please I need clarity on some things for visa application.
- Is Deed of Conveyance and Assignment alongside Survey plan enough to to show for land documents?
- Can my sponsor submit only his National ID as proof of ID?
- Do I need to submit my ND & HND transcripts for an undergraduate diploma or just my certificates are enough?

I'LL REALLY APPRECIATE QUICK RESPONSES. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Hello Hafeez6948

If you got a Medical Request, then its 98% approval..

If its upfront you did, then its 50-50..

It will end in praise..

Hello Moore

1. I have gotten Visa for applicants that submitted just Deed of assignments and survey plans, so Yes.

2. Yea.. If he has Intl Passport, then that will be an added advantage.

3. Degree certificate should be enough, you are applying for Visa and not Admission..

But if you have the transcript, then there is no harm in submitting both..

Peace

Hello bullstriker

Its accessed by who before it gets to the VO?

Please drop a link to backup this ur claim... I need facts

When you submit an application, it assessed before it is eventually assigned to a visa officer. So, whenever you receive a message stating that your application is currently under active review, it simply means that it has passed this stage and is assigned to a visa officer.

You shouldn't be surprised though..

IRCC gives PPR even on Sundays, so why not Saturday..

Probably your application has been escalated to a senior Visa officer for further review on your application, be prepared and be positive..

So in an effort to give back.
here are my application details.

Application for Family of 5 with notification of 6 travellers viz:
Father - PA: Study visa
Mother - SOWP
Child 1 - Study visa, Child 2 - Study visa, Child 4 - visitor visa. Accompanying child 3 - US Citizen to apply study permit within canada

Application submitted April 30th 2022
Medicals upfront - April 27th. Medicals passed - May 18th
Eligibility commenced July 5th - 11th (based on MP feedback) Eligibility updated on CIC portal- Aug. 3rd. 2022
Study program - 16 months Masters (course based) UNB
PPR - X5 for all family applicants 24th Aug. 2022

Docs. submitted
All IMM forms
SOP - 13 pages long. paragraphed with subheads to address all eligibility review criteria as itemised in the IRCC portal and school immigration support port. (paid particular attention to why i am travelling with all family - argument based mostly on need to keep the family as a single well & tighty bonded unit, and potential damage to spouse & kids emotionally & mentally should the unit be seperated, since father is major provider, there is need for family to be with him for effective care & nuturing rather than remote attention etc.) family have taken multiple trips together (note also, wifey have a Canada Visitor Visa issued in Jan 2020 pre-covid which she did not use - i explained that since the covid restrictions she prefered to travel with her family and not to vacation alone anymore, added and explained all bills were paid for Child 3 US citizenship birthing. Employer approved unpaid study leave but i highlighted 100% re-absorption rate after studies on return back to active service.. .... and other plenty arguments i cant list here.

- Employer intro letter, pay stubs, emoluments, study leave (witout pay) approval letter

- 1 year MBS (salary account, personal savings account [naira / USD], spouse USD account, spouse naira savings account)

- POF: total CAD$80,000.00 living expense + tuition... Paid over 95% program Tuition fee (note that to secure my POF, i had my colleague recieve money from an extern unconnected support to pay the full tuition while i keep my own personal monies as POF for living expenses)

- explained lump sums: explain all lump sums payment into the account over the 1 year period. Note that my personal Naira account balance was N3,000+/- only as at 1 week to application. but my employer paid in over N13million which i explained as project funds returns with evidence. Spouse had incrasing savings of over US$20,000.00 in her personal account which i converted to Naira at black market rate (with explaination of our forex constraints) and converted to CAD$ at CBN rate (CAD1 - N325) based on policy for school living expense in order to increase the CAD$ POF statements.

- LOE: 8 pages where i detailed my US born child 3, attaching all his birthin receipts with zero balances to demonstrate non-indebtedness to the US government, explained other documented evidence attachments which could be included in the SOP due to 4MB limit & doc. legibility following compression, explaination of hometies with evidence of property valuation, child waitlisted primary school study, etc. lots of others i can not detail here.

* 1 week after application submission, i started firing emails to nairobi office & webforms (info gotten here from gurus... thanks again) requesting to update upfront medicals which they started updating kids one by one from 11th May.

* 4 weeks after application submission, i fired request for GCMS notes which haven't returned till today becuase it was delayed.

* 6 weeks after application submission, identified MPs within NB (info gotten from gurus... thanks again), and couple ignored, one rejected, one promised to get back but didnt, one replied and assisted in getting feedback from IRCC to reply after 2 weeks. replied after 3 weeks informing of application under eligibility review (that is 2nd week of July).

* 8 weeks after application submission, started firing emails and webforms to Nairobi, London, abuja, lagos, china, (info gotten from gurus... thanks again) 3 mails & webforms to each location per day requesting application status & decision.... no response or auto response.

* 12 weeks after application submission, Nairobi replied auto response to emails.... IRCC replied all webforms at once that applications under review

* 16 weeks after application submission, continued firing email & webforms, 1 each per day 2 times a week to Nairobi praying for consideration due to family size and close study resumption date.

* 16 weeks after application submission, Nairobi replied that application under review

* 17 weeks after application submission, Nairobi replied email that application in queue for processing _ (entered panic mode why queue matter again... lol) with notation that continued mailing their office won't lead to an expedited processing. fear catch me, i stopped emailing.

* Contacted school to request online study when semester starts in sept. 2022 as i cannot force IRCC hand again and not continue panicking myself (lemme not lie, i even tried to psyche myself away from reading successes and checking portal every hour but for where e no work...i dey sleep for NL and log in CIC portal every hour... lol).

* Today (24th Aug 2022) was forming tough guy not look check portal and NL, was in a meeting and decided to distracted myself from the long discussions, looked in my Gmail and behold, the "donotreply" mail... BP shot up, breathing held, tension raised, ... logged in portal, went straight to check Child 4 (youngest) account, and beholded, application approved... that is when i smiled and gatthered the liver to go and check wifey SOWP and other....

Meehn, the feeling of ecstacy is unspeakable, i swear....

I bid all of us, particularly 2Pretty4u, Kiari, Charitojames et al positive decisions from IRCC..

we will all meet there

thank you so much Fam. i was reading this NL thread more than 4 months before i applied and made changes based on lessons learned gatthered here.

Make i gather our passport go drop for VAC tomorrow.

Good luck to us all....!!!!

Hello everyone. I got admission into Cape breton University, for undergraduate program. Only for me to find out the whole tuition fee I would pay is about 20,000 cad. This is a whole lot, I want to ask if it’s possible for the tuition fee to be splitted and paid by installment

I'm a winter intake, and I already got my PPR. So, your resumption date does not influence how fast or slow IRCC processes your application.

Hello everyone,

i just two admission letters to Georgian College and St Lawrence College for Spring to study Project Management. But I have a few questions:
1. Both are one year courses. Will that affect plans for PPR
2. Is there a better school to choose from between them? Fees are close enough to be indifferent.
3. Can I switch to a two year course when I get to the schools - I am a bit worried about the short length of the courses for a subsequent work permit. But there is the issue of looking suspicious to a visa officer going to a college for two years in the middle of an 'okay' career
4. Can I apply for a new work permit in Canada after the first one expires
5. Finally, can i move to a different school in canada when I get there. i am considering moving to the atlantic region because of provincial nominations

Really sorry about the very many questions

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Nobody: 5:11pm On Aug 24, 2022
Good afternoon my beautiful people, it has been a while, and I did not forget but life here can be very fast and intense, especially for newcomers. Big kudos to the admins and all the contributors who have made it easier for people like me, to have free access to such life-changing information. I would like to drop some important information which I believe might benefit a lot of people on this forum.
1. Whatever position you have attained in Nigeria does not apply here in Canada, so be ready to start from scratch that means taking jobs that you will otherwise not have considered back home. ( nobody get time to dey hail you BOSS!!)
2. Do it yourself (DIY) this is a general term in the developed world, from cooking your own meals to household chores, and walking more, you have to be ready to be 100% self-sufficient otherwise you will pay dearly for any of these services.
3. Scholarships for (course-based/under-grad/ short-term programs) are a bit tricky here, I really don't know why but if funding is a big issue for you, please include the UK, since they offer more in that regard. Tuition fees is your biggest expense followed by Rent. YOU CAN NOT WORK PART-TIME AND EARN ENOUGH FOR YOUR TUITION FEES. Try to understand how fees are being charged, recently they switched to charge per credit unit so do the math and have full knowledge.
4. If you have the money at least pay for 3 terms or 2 for people starting in fall. Reason CBN dey craze for 2 months now I have been waiting to get my fees.
5. This here is important, when you land resist the urge to go SHOPPING!!!! wait a month or 2 especially wears and electronics, your rent as a single student should not exceed $880/month. look out for houses that are all-inclusive means you just move in with your bags & utilities are including in your rent. (near bus stops or but I prefer the metro).
I wish you all luck, anyone coming to Montreal can reach out, please note that your requests have to be reasonable. thank you God bless.

For first year fees alone
Under Grad is quite expensive, fees are split into terms here and you have 3 terms in a year, meaning you can split it into 3. this should be the ideal situation but for your institution might defer, so you have to get on the phone with the student's account department.

Hello Bruno

It depends on the applicant.. According to my research and observation.

Major Reason applicants prefer waiting to get a request from IRCC:

Considering the cost of medicals, some applicants feel since Upfront Medicals is never a guarantee for Visa approval, they don't see any reason to book for Medicals, since it does not guarantee Visa. So they prefer they wait for Medical request which is a right signal that the application will be approved. Once you get a Medical request, its top priority at the clinics, so even if there is no space within the deadline given you in your Medical request letter, they tend to allow you do your medicals before your deadline, but this is not so for Upfront Medicals. When you get a Medical request, your application is 99% sure of approval (unless village people are on your case). The only disadvantage to this is that the application may tend to delay.

Major Reason applicants prefer doing Upfront

This is simply for fast processing (not proven) of one's application. When it gets to the stage of Medical examination, instead of the Visa Officer going through the process of sending the Medical request, he/she works with the already submitted upfront Medical Examination result, so much time wont be spent during this stage. But like I said, upfront Medical does not in any way have any effect on the positive outcome of an application.. Its 50-50 chance..

Its your Eligibility to study that determines if you will be approved of your study permit application or refused..

Peace

This question has been asked several times here..

You can use any email to send mails to IRCC, just make sure you include your UCI and application number in the content of your mail.

But please note that IRCC will only send mails/notification as regards your application(if you have any update in your application) to the registered email with your application.

I hope your so called agent gave you access to your IRCC portal though, so you can know when you have an update as regards your application..

Peace
