Good day, house.

I got my stamped passport back from Abuja. To and fro, it took 13 days.

I'm booking my flight any moment, and need your help.

Which flights allow passengers to carry 2 * 23Kg boxes and a hand luggage?

Every flight does allow 2 checked in baggages… 1 hand luggage and you can do backpack too

PPR received but no PoE introduction letter. When is the letter expected? Does it get returned with the stamped passport or must appear on the portal? Has anyone received it with PPR together?

Thank you.

You don’t receive it with PPR. It comes after passport must have been stamped i guess

Hello Nadingo

Your 1st and 2nd questions clearly shows you are a novice which isn't a problem at all, that is why we are here on this forum to guide you.

Now I will summarise the answers to the your 1st and 2nd question.

Yes you can relocate with your family through the Study Permit route (not PGD/PGC route). But you have a high chance going alone and using your other family members as home ties. And when you have your visa, you can apply for a Spousal permit for your spouse and Visiting permit Visa for ur kids.
With your second class lower, you can get a PGD/PGC Admission and you can use that to apply for your study permit application and get your Visa.

3. I am not sure about this cos the least you can have is a 2.1 for a Masters degree in Canada. If you last CGPA is high, then you can be lucky with some schools that considers the last CGPA, but I do not think work experience with 2.2 is a requirement for a Master degree Admission in most schools in Canada.

4. Yea, sure.

Peace

Thank you so much

Please did they ask you to send an updated Proof of funds cus your application took a very long processing time?
Or they didn’t ask?

I’m so grateful to God… I can’t believe I’m sharing my story..

It all started at October 2021, firstly I tried USA and I was denied without even knowing the reason. My application was handled by course mate in undergraduate here in Nigerian. He travelled to Canada last year and did his application and visa by himself… he is a genius sha…
He assured me I will get Canada that I should give it a try.. he helped me in all the processes without taken a fee that if my visa get approved I can appreciate him(there are good people)

So he helped me in my admission and I got admitted in to 2 different school. He wrote all my SOP for all my admission

On January 25th 2022 he submitted my visa after which I knew about naira land. So i noticed that we have to state our visa denial from reading the thread. I initially ignored it so I got information from this thread to send web form of which I sent by immediately.

Looongggggg wait
Order gcms note it says “recommend interview” some say it is a positive sign..

Lonnggg wait emailing Mp none replied me.

On. 17 August I got Bvl without decision.. I just gave up. I was depressed after all this long wait I will be denied (my mind telling me). My friend that did my application drafted a mail to send to them after 10 days of wait. On Monday 29th August I emailed them by 7:00am and by 11:30 am my ppr dropped.

Because of depression I travelled to stay with my parents so I got the good new with them(family is everything)

First time applicant
Submitted 25th January 2022
Medical pass 14 February 2022
Bvl 17th August
Ppr 29 August

Special thanks to my friend ikebobo and his brother Emeka(you guess are friends that can be called brothers) I didn’t pay any fee. The confidence and encouragement. And thanks to Nairaland Canada thread for your assistance I really appreciate

Hello house, So back in 2020 I had a remote programming job and earned USD monthly. I have legit employer payslips and Payoneer account deposit receipts and DOM account statement as proof.

My savings in DOM account is enough for POF.

Since 2021 Feb I’ve been doing freelance work with no salary earnings and I registered a company with CAC.

Do I need to pay myself from my company as proof of employment and home tie?

Or is my deed of assignment and payslips from the abroad company enough for my home ties?

Also, the said property address corresponds to where I live both on the passport page and everything.

Hello Guest911,

Present your organization as a sole proprietor enterprise stationed permanently in your country. This would help you demonstrate stronger home ties through its domestic operations.

To show the financial solvency and lucrativeness of the enterprise, the business activities can be described as blended operations. The world has gone digital and it is your job to help the officer to understand the gains of placing your organization in the inter-continental market to be able to connect and network without transborder barriers with your foreign business partners and/or clients. Attribute the foreign currency earnings to businesses executed with your foreign clients and/or partners in your country.

Include the business registration certificate, memorandum of association, article of association, Payoneer statement, bank reference letter, dollar statement, business ID, business receipt, govt-issued revenue certificates (if any), complimentary card, etc.

If you decide to be silent about the freelance, you can substitute the payslips with a service payment invoice or service purchase order collaborating the sums as reflected in the financial record(s).

You don't need to pay yourself. Since you are very sure that the domiciliary account is sufficient, you pass as self-employed. On a side note, you can as well claim to be a freelancer as a second income source, which you enjoy as an economic passion. This way, you get to present your payslips, or as applicable, without misrepresenting facts.

If you don't know how to go about drafting a compelling SOP/LOE, reach out via my Nairaland signature. It is not pro bono.

There's a twist!
I went for my upfront medical at IOM only to be told to wait behind for TB test. Test has been done and I am to wait for 2 months for the result to be out.
A doctor at the clinic advised me to hold on till then before applying. Has anyone experienced this? How did you tackle it. Please help a brother. Thank you

Hello fam
I want know if letter of intent the same with statement of purpose (sop) or are they two different things

Secondly is it all schools that demand for school fees payment before one can differ admission due to inability to secure visa on time

my admission indicate shows that I am start by 1st of this month, I have written to my school for deferment for like 2 weeks now and they have not responded.

please what should I do in this regard.

Hello Freedomtours,

Both letters are sometimes used interchangeably and can as well pass as the same letters differentiated by titles. However, to a wider audience, both are not the same given the tone of writing.

The SOP for immigration or academics serves the purpose of explaining a study's intent and the overall significance of the study. While the LOE is popular for immigration purposes that help to address a refusal concern, respond to PFL or misrepresentation claims, or give clarity to an intricate situation.

Each DLI has its policy and demands a deposit from successful applicants to be considered as a student that enjoys certain privileges like scholarship, deferment, etc. My post does not speak for any DLI. To have adequate information, reach out to the DLI or read about the deferment policy on its website.

Note that some DLI require prospective students not attending a session to fill out a deferment form before such instruction will be honoured. Check the DLI's website for its deferment policy. You can send a reminder to your DLI and escalate to other departments—international, admissions, finance, or as it may be, for urgent assistance.

Well you can go ahead and submit your application. But the TB Test process will last for 3 months. My daughter had similar experience in 2020 when she applied. She was made to do a sputum test for suspected TB which came out negative after 8 weeks. Then another waiting period of 30 days for a final x-ray. She did the x ray and her medical was updated to pass same day. Application was then processed and approved. So definitely the test will delay the application for at least 3 months. Better to wait a while before submitting.

A chest X-ray can suggest the presence of TB and further testing will be required for confirmation. I’m not saying that’s your case for sure but that’s a possibility

Thanks Cadygosh for this..

I actually saw his post before seeing yours, but I chose to ignore it, as I do not have the luxury of time to exchange words with anybody especially when the person is trying hard to get attention.

I spend little time here, and it would be a waste of time using the limited time I have here to argue with someone that just joined this thread less than a month..

Thanks once again Cadygosh for having my back in my absence even though I do not know you.. Thanks once again, I appreciate.

Please, is it advisable to send a message to IRCC after one was told application is under active review since 20th of August but eligibility is yet to start on your profile?

Then Nairobi goes further to tell you to refrain from sending messages till you are contacted.

Is the under active review a generic response?

Do I send webform instead?

Untrue. Everyone who applies for any category of Canadian visas can be held back for additional tuberculosis testing if their X-rays show an irregularity or scarring.

The IRCC attributes either of those to latent or active tuberculosis and a sputum test with the duration of 8-10 weeks is the standard procedure of ensuring it’s not the latter.

Hello,

This is fairly normal and you have nothing to be worried about. As long as your system doesn’t house active tuberculosis, you will pass the sputum test. Once that happens, you will have another X-ray examination done so IOM can compare it to your initial one and see if there are any major changes.

For some applicants, the final X-ray is all it takes to have your medicals passed. For others like me, further testing is required so you will be mandated to visit a pulmonary specialist. The person will guide you through breathing exercises, then file a report based on their findings and the X-rays you’ve had done at IOM.

It is important to note that I actually did have tuberculosis when I was younger, so that could explain why a pulmonary specialist was necessary. If you haven’t had TB, your medical examination will likely be passed after the final X-ray post-sputum results.

Conclusively, please do not listen to the panel physician asking you to hold off on lodging your application. It is always more advisable to apply early so while your sputum tests are being processed, your application could be getting worked on. My medicals took 10 freaking months to be passed. You could be waiting as long as 4-5 months yourself so I would advise going ahead with your application process like medicals aren’t even an obstacle.
