Senior man abeg do I need any special software for any Upwork abeg your reply will help and what do I need to put in place before I can start this journey

Well, it depends on your skill, different softwares for different skill, but if it is just writing an App like Copy space and grammarly might be enough

Freelancing is not easy and you have to put in the hard work.
Recently, I enrolled for a course that entails virtual assistance on ALX but couldn't complete it due to power and data constraints.
Hopefully, I'll get back soon.

Trying A New Niche.

Does one need to have a very good command of English language for this kind of job?

I'm not good at math neither is my English really good.

I love reading, I'm a baker. I also get along with people easily.

What niche would you advise someone like me to go for?

Good evening boss, pls I'm interested in how you got the Product Design Internship. I have like 10 months of experience now.
NUJABEZ:

It was five years for me. In 2020, I took a break from work. For one year I massively upskilled. Got three certifications: Product Design, Product Management, and Project Management, plus a 5-month internship with a company in the UK offered through Almond Careers in a role that combined aspects of each specialization.

Prior to the upskilling, I made $$ 10-12, but after it, in 2021, I became qualified for roles that pay more than $25 per hour, off Upwork, and with benefits. Inasmuch as where someone is right now is a good starting point, I wish I hadn't lingered at the beginner level for too long. Someone who used to work on Upwork in UI/UX that I know now works in Ireland and getting more than $150k per annum just because they advanced their skills so well, got into Toptal, worked for Loom, and then a European fintech employed him mid-2021.

We will all get there, hopefully, or even found startups that will create jobs.

Oh shut up! You just can’t help spreading your bile on this thread. I knew it was only a matter of hours and you would come out in full force.

At no point have I disparaged remote work. I only thought it was limited to tech and has a negative effect on social life.

So please shut up!

pls what do you mean by this 'my dorm'?

is it a payment gateway?

i googled it cut cant seem to get any meaningful info on it.

Lovely piece, thanks for sharing. It's highly insightful. And I could use a referral if it's not too much to ask. Been on the platform for sometime now. And staying on like you said you did when you started . It'd be appreciated if you could help with a headstart

When I joined, I was determined not to hide my NIGERIAN identity. It never crossed my mind to use any other country. It is remote work that made me open to technology, so I was also scared of slipping. I won’t be able to cover my tracks well. I am glad I stuck to my Nigerian identity. I lost and I gained…

Please don't be tired with the question i will ask just take it as it from a novice like me who want to earn legally please.
Can you help with a thread or list of items I need in place before I can start this journey? Like skills I need to learn, like what you will advise people to do before embarking on this journey? Like mistakes to avoid and how to handle any problem if one encounter them.
I use God beg you abeg no ignore this message help out.

This question is very broad and not what I can answer is one breath.

I don’t advise people on skills. You need to figure out your interest first, that is the only way you would stay on course and not abandon the skill halfway like many before you. cheesy

You need a laptop, internet connection, steady power supply and a lot of determination.

I take Soda too for energy. Especially when I overstretched my brain. Thought it’s abnormal.

Lol. It is not. Though you should ensure you burn this sugar. Sitting at a place doesn’t burn it as such. So you have to workout or at least take morning/evening walks.

How were you able to do it, given that UPWORK requires both ID and FACIAL Verification?

And some clients do conduct zoom/google meet interviews before giving you the Gig

Yeah. I try to work long hours whenever I do.

If I don’t, I can tell that there is too much sugar in my blood stream, so I take some break.

I don’t always have time for workout. I am a programmer. Busy mostly.
