Mbappe was already walking in a specific direction that would see him have no contact with Messi and just as Mbappe was about to walk past Messi's side, Messi turned his shoulder towards Mbappe's direction and that was when the collision happened.

Messi was static with arms akimbo, Mbappe was the one walking towards Messi's position so he should have properly calculated the gap if he did not intend to have body contact with Messi. Messi wasn't static. Watch the video again without any bias. He turned his shoulder towards the direction that Mbappe was walking into and they collided. No one was at fault.
