Yes OP is human, crime should not be solved with emotional tendencies but with factual evidence. People jump into conclusion often this days and sometimes things are not actually how we portray them to be.

1. Is he an armed robber, then you might be right.
2. Relationship issues or monetary deal gone wrong, then OP might be right.

Don't get me wrong, nothing justifies the killing of another human, but OP believe there's more to the story.
