I do clean my cats once or twice per month because most of the time cats can look after and groom themselves.

That's cat for you, naturally they are begi begi lol. But on a more serious note, cats will always have that gluttony in them. If you like feed them to their throats and the most funniest thing, they wouldn't even eat that food they seems to be begging for in you later give them to eat
