mendes911: Which flat result? You expect audit and CBN not to scrap anything off that final EPS? Looking at where FBNH is coming from.... i can only applaud this result. Even if them scrape from EPS, i go still hail them. The 50% drop in NPL's is remarkable. If they sustain the trend in 2020, FBNH will easily do N80bn. Na then the party go start. |

Moral of the story: Big caps will move at their appropriate time. The secret in trading Seplat lies in the London Stock Exchange. Once the price moves there there, watch the price on NSE.... it'll usually moves in tandem after a couple of days, if not immediately. |

austinkenneth: 2019 seems to have been the year of special situations (mergers and acquisitions). Money was made chiefly from deals. Anyone who manged to play just 2 of these right was made for the year.
1. Access-Diamond merger 2. Dangote flour take-over 3. CCNN-BUA cement merger 4. UACN unbundling 5. Lafarge restructruing 6. Continental Re take-over
It seems it is mainly mergers and acquisitions and deals, more than fundamentals that drives gains.
CAN ANYONE SUGGEST WHAT MIGHT BE THE TOP DEALS GOING FORWARD INTO THIS YEAR? You didn't mention MTNN. That transaction made boys become men |

Post Iran air strike; Oil Prices Up
U.S futures market down.... I expect yields U.S treasuries to go up shortly.
Impact on our markets; Neutral..... Elevated oil prices are a positive (doesn't guaranty anything though). U.S equities will tank!...Chances of a global contagion are high. Will the contagion get to Nigeria? Not likely
Recommendation; Long Crude oil, Short USD, Short S&P, Neutral NGSE |
