It has no value, anybody can get a honorary "citizenship of a state" in America, you dont even have to be a VIP or achieved anything in your life. I remember when i was doing my masters, some of my fellow students visited a state in America and met with the governor totally by accident and they were given honorary citizenship. it means nothing, it has no value, it is not even a recognition for achievement however Although it is not something you brag about, I feel Sowore didnt have to make an issue of it.

What's there to celebrate in an honorary citizenship for someone who was once a governor? Stuff that ordinary students who excell in their research works get every now and then.
