with no doubt it is the federal government or state government but whoever is on the affairs should lower the requirements degree to the waec or neco and give rooms to allow you acquire other degrees.

What do mean?
State or federal?

Do you know that some State gov't pay graduates below 40k, I mean with your Degree oo.

You got regrets for ordinary Nestlé? Ordinary Nestlé o! Nestlé that doesn't pay that well compared to oil and gas. What should I now say for loosing an opportunity with a major Gas company? Like I actually started working and had to stop. Regret absolutely nothing. If it doesn't work, brush it off your shoulders and move on
Have you worked for nestle before??

Shell was a little bit above NNPC until Union took them to national assembly.
Your aut was lucky. They upgraded after national assembly threatened them.i think it was during Obasanjo time. Shell was so bad their seasoned engineers especially in 2 hot departments started leaving in drones. A family member left after cross posting. A s head of his unit, some new recruits worked under him while in Holland. For him to come back to Nigeria. A new recruit he trained has become his oga simply because he is white. Also Nigerians are paid in naira while their people paid in foreign currency. Nigeria is the way it is,ask Shell. If you know you know. Our people are only interested in big package they receive and the prestige that comes from working there but they have caused more harm than good. Politics and instability all over the world is controlled and orchestrated by big companies. Big pharma, oil companies and arms industry. They rule the world.
You're very correct. I serve in the Oil and Gas till today. There was a guy, half Dutch and half black. He bagged CCIE, which was the peak of IT in the world as of then. The CCIE is lab-based and he happened to be one of the few across the globe who had it then, nobody from or in Nigeria had it then. He was employed by NLNG at Bonny. This guy's salary was about 7m naira monthly about 6 years ago, excluding other benefits. Today with the current exchange rate, he should be earning up to 10m naira. Flight to anywhere in the world was free. Free education for his children, of course accommodation was free, feeding at NLNG was buffet, still that way today. I was like, na which kain inequality be dis grin.

I quickly told my cousin to go for the CCIE cos that was what's left for him. He's a silent member on nairaland and am sure he'd be smiling reading this post. He gathered money and went to UAE to take the curse. I won't tell you his salary at infosys today. He's yet to pay me for the advise shaa lol

What am I driving at? Despite Nigerians having a feeling they're earning so big. Expatriates earn much more but na our people still dey do the work.

I hope he is saving and investing. Oil money is quick money o. You can easily get deceived by the so-called jet-set life. When I worked briefly in that industry, I was flying from private terminals in Lagos into Presidential terminal in Abuja. All those didn't move me. The Koko was whether I was saving and investing
You're right. He's built a good mansion, travelled overseas for curses. He's a training consultant too. That's his side hustle. Recently he told me he trained some people during his break and made 2.8m naira cool cash. He's sharp oo, if na dat one. Nigerians are go-getters. This was why I got angry when buhari said our youths were lazy. Another reason I supported endsars and actively participated in it in 2020 at the lekki toll gate. People took the endsars to be political... far from it. The rich don't get intimidated by the police so, they don't know how traumatic it could be to experience it. I bought an SUV in 2014, brand new from US. On arrival I was driving it around Ikeja. One police man accosted me, saying I was too young to drive that type of a car and I asked him, what's the minimum age for owning an SUV? He got angry. He delayed me that day. I had to be mindful where I drove to cos the insult was much, as if you're their enemy once they see you with a good car.

Don't assume any company is good yet until you work there, most PLC companies were trying to reduce cost now so they introduced something call ( SUB) where they give contract to someone to employ for them

Good or not good the only advice I have for you is just make ur money and go home

The contract staff thing was actually introduced to reduce unionism among worker. Companies don't want to deal directly with workers and disrupt their ability to form union and cooperate among themselves. Sometime they pay good salaries but because they pay through proxies, the whole money don't get to the workers directly involved.

We know there are still good companies with good pays out there and also we have the bad ones

- The best company should care about employees' welfare.
- It should offer better services
- Give customers the option for paying for services at a later date (Unearned service revenue)
- Attend to customer complaints
- Strive for growth

Them plenty:

Telecomms/support companies - MTN, Airtel, IHS Towers - Tech sector is one of the very few booming sectors now with great pay and good retention. MTN is the highest non-oil revenue earner and taxpayer in Nigeria so it's a no-brainer that working there now is gold.

Fintech companies: Paystack & Flutterwave - Also a growing niche so they have a lot of money to attract and retain talents

Big 4 +1 - KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, EY & Anderson - These need no introduction apart from Anderson. They develop you very fast and give you tremendous leverage while their pay is also good.

Management Consulting: McKinsey, Accenture, BCG. - This is a specialist niche so pay is high especially for Mckinsey.

Oil & Gas upstream & downstram: Shell, Total, Chevron, Mobil, Seplat, Schlumberger, GE, Hannover, Addax, Forte Oil - Sector is contracting so not as attractive as before as they now tend to downgrade the compensation package for new entrants. Despite this, they are still very good pay-wise which tells of how unbelievably good the entry compensation was pre-oil revenue crisis.

Manufacturing multinationals: Nestle, British American Tobacco, NBC/Coca-Cola, Nigerian Breweries, Guinness, Proctor & Gamble, Wamco (Peak), Seven-Up, Lafarge, PZ Cussons, Henkel, Unilever, JTI Group, (Promasidor, Flourmills & Dangote are a step below the attractive level of these set) - Have a combination of good-pay & retirement benefits benchmarked against global standards and employee retention even during tough economic times.

Tech companies: Google, Microsoft, IBM, Ericsson, Softcom (company that flew all staff to Dubai for vacation)

Pharmaceuticals: GSK, Sanofi-Aventis

Engineering service companies: Krones, Aggreko

HMO - Mansard

Government agencies: CBN, Customs, FIRS, NIPC, NNPC, FMITI, NEMA, NPA etc. - For obvious reasons.

These are some I can remember

Nice.
