This CBN governor has wisdom,
He jus gave us update along side federal government.
If you look at the new notes, 100 naira has 50 naira color which if you check am, 100 naira value now na 50 naira
Also 200 and old 100 look alike meaning 200 value now na 100 naira
Same with 500, na 200 naira value now

So if them win next year
Inflation go make 1000 get same value as 50 naira

My own is that they should reduce the size to that of other world currencies so it can fit a normal wallet. Like USD, Rand , etc

The change is not bad... The colors on the old notes made it very expensive to print making some currencies a lot less than it's production value.. this is not bad at all. If u look at the dollar or pound they are not as colorful as the naira and cost a lot less to produce

The old naira was 4 colours this is two colours any one who have done printing knows 2 colours is cheaper

Less time , less ink

...but the cost of printing is not a major reason for the currency "re-design."

A wasteful government like the Nigerian government has never been bothered about the cost of printing Naira notes, especially now that we are gradually going cashless.

While this will make sense to a whole lot of people

It remains a total waste of time and resources
