thats a great question. why are we paying their salaries ?. quite frankly i dont think nigeria needs a federal govt because they dont do squat. i think the country should be broken up into tiny local govts. only then will progress be made. you cant govern a country effectively if you do not have data on who is in the country, the housing stock, the business stock. so you are right when you say why do we pay them.
