Before subsidy is totally removed, it is important we have relatively stable power supply and the government should invest in state-owned commercial solar buses to reduce the sufferings of ordinary Nigerians. 37 Likes 2 Shares |

Meanwhile, someone mobilized a protest against subsidy in 2012 saying it was a scam. I wonder what has suddenly kidnapped the voice of Pastor Tunde Bakare at a crucial time like this. 117 Likes 8 Shares |

Typicool8: In all fairness, yes, Buhari cares about the sufferings of Nigerians and that's why he talks about it every day. However, Buhari doesn't have good leadership skills, he didn't appoint the right people and he is too old to go and check some things himself. This is why having brain and brawn matters so much in leadership. 12 Likes |

Buhari, fashola, APC b4 2015, said there was nothing like subsidy, and that it was a scam by g e j. Then it was about to be totally removed by g.e.j, so it could be sold for 120.. APC urchins don't eat food, hence they are not concerned about their unusually rising prices, they don't use fuel, gas, cos they trek and use firewood respectively. Now, petrol is almost 300, and some numbskulls built to suffer eternally still shouting amilokan hiarandere 25 Likes 1 Share |

So, gradually we're heading to buying a fuel at 500/Lt Buhari wants to leave a country so that the next leader will face difficulties and have him look like a saint..... But that's even childish because Buhari is incompetent and clueless and doesn't know how to manage a country. 26 Likes 1 Share |

Buhari government and you marketers are all scammers, it's sold at 250 per litre now and people are buying, if this government is sincere and they know this subsidy isn't a scam, let them take it to 400 naira per litre, remove subsidy completely and let there be peace in this sector, we no go die if fuel is sold at 400 naira per litre, enough of this scam and stealing called subsidy,it is a conduit pipe for any government in power to steal our collective resources 16 Likes 1 Share |

The naija fuel subsidy is a big scam that should have been removed by Jonathan if not for the wicked antics of the APC at that point. My only fear is that the current set of looters will eventually loot every kobo saved from the subsidy removal, instead of using the money to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians. 8 Likes |

Ukadike here said the blunt truth. The fuel subsidy simply has to end. It is simply unsustainable . Another subsidy that has to end is that on forex which Buhari introduced. How can the official rate be 440 and black market be 750? The disparity is simply insane! The difference is encouraging roundtripping where people purchase dollars at the official rate and sell at the black market rste. Lamido Sanusi has long berated the Buhari administration over this but PMB has remained stiffnecked. Other economist have condemned it too. If the 2 subsidies are removed, the Naira's value at the black market should bounce to around 550 if not stronger and the official rate fall close to it. The subsidies are encouraging excess demand for forex thereby making it too expensive. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Hmmm... There is something fundamentally wrong with Nigerians but we keep blaming government like the people in government are aliens. I have been away from home for almost 6 months now. I went to buy petrol from a black market last friday and she told me it is #300 against the #250 she normally sell it before the increase. Black marketers in my area sell petrol at #300/litre. I went to my favourite petrol station but it was closed as they do not come on Sundays. This petrol station now sell petrol @ #230/litre as against #179 it use to sell it before the increase. So I went to a petrol station close by and was surprised to see #169.50 as the sales price. I felt the price was just there for decoration. I couldn't believe it when I only spent approximately #4250 to fill a 25 litre keg. I spent #5750 to fill the same keg at my favourite petrol station two days ago. So I have been wondering where this station is getting her PMS from. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
